Yesterday, I exercised my right (as a freeman of The City of London) to drive a herd of sheep across the River Thames.
It was in aid of @RedbridgeLive mayor @jonesbert's charitable campaign to raise funds for @ParkinsonsUK @HavenHouseCH and Mind.

Today, at the Ilford War Memorial in Newbury Park, we stood united in two minutes’ silence to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice in two World Wars and conflicts since.
They came from every corner of the globe, united in courage, shared humanity and sacrifice.
They gave their tomorrows for our today.
We will remember them. 🌹
🪔 Happy Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas! 🪔
Wishing all my Hindu, Sikh and Jain friends, neighbours and communities celebrating today a very happy and joyous Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas.
May the Festival of Lights bring peace, happiness, prosperity and hope to you and your loved ones.
As we celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and the importance of freedom, justice and compassion, may we also reflect on the values that unite us all.
Wishing everyone celebrating a wonderful day filled with love, light and togetherness.
🪔 Happy Diwali! Bandi Chhor Divas diyan lakh lakh vadhaiyan! 🙏

Really good to knock on doors talking to residents, on the whole a nice warm response on a cold morning.

You either love pineapple on a pizza or hate it.
Personally, it is my favourite topping.

On 2 August 2021, a private limited company called Redbridge Muslim Burials Service Limited (Company No. 13543598) was incorporated using the address of Ilford Islamic Centre (IIC).
I understand that this was done without the knowledge, consent or authorisation of IIC's Executive Committee, its membership or the wider congregation.
According to Companies House records:
The company was established with just £1 in share capital.
It filed dormant company accounts for 2023 and 2024.
No accounts for 2025 appear to have been filed.
Compulsory strike-off proceedings commenced in August 2026.
The company has subsequently been 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆 struck off and dissolved.
This raises some very serious questions for the individuals who established and operated this company.
Who gave them permission to use IIC's address? Why was the company established? What activities, if any, did it undertake? Why were dormant accounts filed? And what circumstances led to its 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆 dissolution?
Ilford Islamic Centre is a respected community institution that has served generations of worshippers and their families. Its reputation should not be placed at risk by the actions of individuals acting without proper authority.
If anyone has paid money to, is owed money by, or has any outstanding financial dealings with Redbridge Muslim Burials Service Limited, I urge them to raise their concerns immediately and seek appropriate advice.
The individuals responsible for establishing this company owe the congregation and wider community a full and transparent explanation.
If it is established that they knowingly used IIC's address without authorisation, I believe serious questions arise about their judgement, integrity and suitability to hold positions of trust within the community.
This is not about questioning Ilford Islamic Centre. It is about protecting its reputation and holding accountable those who may have misused its address and the trust of the community.

🚨 Virgil van Dijk: “There was a clear penalty for us. VAR doesn’t notice it? There are 50 cameras…”.
“Why does he have to complain when there’s so many cameras? Everyone has seen it. At the end of the day, it wasn’t given so congratulations to Arsenal”.
My First half analysis.
1) Sign Araujo ASAP
2) Buy Mac Allister some shooting boots
3) Wirtz needs to be more physical
4) An unbiased referee would help (no yellow card for Calafiori, no penalty when Isak’s shirt was pulled in the penalty area etc).
Thoughts?
