HORRIBLE PLANS BY THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IN SUPPORT OF THE ONGOING GENOCIDE IN SOUTHERN CAMEROONS AKA AMBAZONIA. By Wall Street Journal
Exclusive: The Trump administration plans to send military aid to unit previously accused of war crimes in Cameroon as part of a wider arrangement for Cameroon to accept US deportees
The first Trump admin in 2019 cut aid to this unit over concerns it was committing war crimes.
A US senator put a hold on the secret military aid package earlier this year when the State Department notified Congress of it. But months later Rubio's team informed the senator they were blowing through the hold.
The arrangement is part of a sweeping campaign by the Trump administration to deport illegal migrants - many with no ties to Africa - to countries across Africa run by governments with checkered human rights records.
The administration sees these arrangements as an important part of its sweeping crackdown on illegal migration. Both a way to increase security in US borders and deter future potential illegal migrants.
But human rights groups have criticized the practice.
The arrangement for the US to send a ~$35 million aid package of armored personnel carriers to Cameroon's elite Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) served dual goals of sweetening the deal to take in US deportees and also advance US counterterrorism goals in West Africa. @WhiteHouse

BRITAIN'S SLAVERY APOLOGY DEBATE: WHAT ABOUT SOUTHERN CAMEROONS?
By Ali Dan Ismael | Independentist News
Britain's renewed debate over an apology for its role in the transatlantic slave trade raises another uncomfortable question: When will Britain confront its unfinished responsibilities toward Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia)?
In 1961, Britain ended its administration of Southern Cameroons under the United Nations trusteeship system. UN General Assembly Resolution 1608 (XV) endorsed the plebiscite outcome and called for urgent discussions among Britain, Southern Cameroons, and the Republic of Cameroun to finalize implementation arrangements.
More than six decades later, independence advocates continue to question whether the constitutional safeguards and consensual arrangements envisaged during that transition were adequately established.
The Caribbean slavery reparations debate and the Southern Cameroons question are legally distinct. Yet both demand historical transparency, institutional accountability, and serious engagement with documented grievances.
Britain cannot rewrite 1961. But it can open its archives, clarify its decisions, and support an independent examination of the transition.
The United Nations also has questions to answer. What arrangements were finalized? What protections were established? Were the political aspirations of Southern Cameroons adequately safeguarded?
Meanwhile, civilians continue suffering from a conflict marked by displacement, disrupted education, and allegations of grave human-rights abuses.
Historical accountability must accompany immediate civilian protection and justice.
Our demand is straightforward: Open the records. Examine Resolution 1608. Establish the historical facts. Address unresolved responsibilities.
If Britain can confront the legacy of slavery, it can also confront the history of its Southern Cameroons trusteeship.
History cannot be erased by silence.

HOW MANY MORE SONS MUST DIE BEFORE LRC CITIZENS SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?
By Timothy Enongene
Editor-in-Chief,
Independentist News
29 October 2026
A father losing one son to war is heartbreaking. Losing another six years later is almost unbearable. Yet this is the tragedy highlighted in a social media post by N’Zui Manto, featuring the traditional ruler of Bamendjinda, Fo’o Tanefo Jean-Marie, alongside photographs of two young men reportedly identified as his sons, who allegedly died in 2020 and 2026 while serving in the security forces.
Although the specific circumstances of their deaths require independent confirmation, the story raises a question that citizens of La République du Cameroun (LRC) must confront: How many more lives must be lost before the people peacefully demand an end to this senseless war?
For nearly a decade, the war between LRC and Ambazonia has devastated families, displaced communities, orphaned children, and claimed countless lives. Soldiers die. Civilians die. Young people who should be building their futures are instead buried, leaving behind parents, spouses, and children struggling to cope with irreversible loss.
Yet society risks becoming accustomed to the tragedy. Another death becomes another headline; another funeral becomes another social media post. People mourn briefly, express sympathy, and move on until another family is struck.
Is this the future citizens of LRC want for their children?
This is not merely an Ambazonian question. It concerns the sons and daughters of LRC serving in the military, the civilians caught in the violence, and every family paying the price for a conflict that political leaders have failed to resolve.
Citizens have the right to demand answers. Why must the killing continue? What political objective justifies this mounting human cost? When will meaningful negotiations take precedence over a seemingly endless cycle of violence?
Peaceful demonstrations, civic mobilisation, and sustained public pressure are legitimate ways for citizens to demand accountability and insist that their leaders pursue a credible political solution. Silence may not start a war, but public indifference can allow its consequences to become normalised.
For Ambazonia, a lasting settlement must address the fundamental political question underlying the conflict. A return to the status quo without addressing the people's political aspirations cannot substitute for a credible, third-party-mediated process.
The responsibility rests heavily on those who hold political and military power. But citizens also have a voice, and that voice should not be reserved for mourning after another tragedy.
If the reported deaths of Fo’o Tanefo Jean-Marie’s sons are confirmed, their story should remind us that behind every uniform is a human being, and behind every casualty is a family whose world may never be the same again.
Citizens of LRC, how many more sons and daughters must die before you peacefully rise and say, “Enough is enough”?
No political ambition is worth an endless procession of funerals. No conflict should become so normalised that society loses the courage to demand peace.
The time has come to make the demand unmistakable: Enough bloodshed. Enough grieving families. Let meaningful political negotiations begin. @VaticanNews @BritishRedCross @UN @_AfricanUnion @UNICEF

WONE BAKUNDU: SEVEN ARMED MEN CAUGHT, THREE IDENTIFIED AS MILITARY PERSONNEL — WHO IS REALLY TERRORISING THE PEOPLE?
By Timothy Enongene
Associate Editor-in-Chief,
Independentist News
24 October 2026
The people of Wone Bakundu, along the Kumba Road, #Ambazonia have a serious story to tell. Seven armed men were reportedly apprehended by villagers while moving around and robbing people. Among those apprehended, three have been identified as military personnel by neighbours, friends and passers-by who say they know them. The incident raises disturbing questions about the conduct of those who are supposed to protect civilians and the persistent problem of crimes being attributed to Ambazonia restoration fighters.
According to the account circulating from the scene, the three identified men are military personnel, and the operation is linked to a wider concern that armed men may be committing robberies while leaving the blame to fall on Ambazonia fighters. The account further points to the Kumba military command and other military personnel. These reported connections must be investigated, but the identification of the men by people who claim to know them should not simply be brushed aside.
If those entrusted with protecting the population are among those robbing it, who will protect the people from their supposed protectors?
This is the question that Wone Bakundu puts before the public. Civilians travelling along the Kumba Road deserve security, not fear; protection, not exploitation. No uniform should confer immunity from investigation, and no institution should be permitted to shield anyone involved in criminal activity. If the men identified are serving military personnel, their identities and conduct should be formally established, and anyone found responsible must face the law.
There is another issue that deserves serious public attention: the attribution of criminal acts to Ambazonia fighters. When armed men rob civilians, communities are entitled to ask who committed the crime, what evidence exists, and whether anyone is deliberately manipulating the situation to discredit the restoration struggle. If people are committing robberies and framing Ambazonia fighters, that would constitute a grave abuse of the population and an attempt to poison relations between civilians and those fighting for Ambazonia's restoration.
But such a scheme must be exposed through evidence, not merely assumed. The identities of the seven men, the accounts of those who recognised the three military personnel, and any evidence connecting the operation to commanders must be documented and independently examined. The people deserve the truth, not competing propaganda from any side.
The lesson for communities along the Kumba Road is clear: remain alert, verify before sharing, and do not allow anyone to exploit the suffering of civilians for political or military advantage. Witnesses should preserve relevant information, and the men apprehended should be handled safely and lawfully. Vigilance is necessary, but so is accountability.
The incident also raises a question for the authorities: will there be a transparent investigation into the identities and activities of these seven men, including the three identified as military personnel? Will the people of Wone Bakundu receive clear answers, or will the matter disappear without explanation?
The people are tired of insecurity. They are tired of being caught between armed actors, and they deserve better than a situation in which every crime becomes an opportunity to blame someone else. Whoever robs, kidnaps, intimidates or kills civilians must be held accountable, regardless of uniform, affiliation or political allegiance.
Wone Bakundu deserves the truth. The people deserve protection. And no one should be allowed to use the name of the Ambazonia struggle as a convenient cover for crimes committed against the very population whose rights and future are at stake. @UN

A man in uniform testifies:
"Good evening Mr. Nzui Manto,
I am a uniformed officer serving in Kumba.
I am writing to you to denounce an unacceptable situation where the Divisional Commissioner Mbode Charles, Central Commissioner of Kumba and his thug from BAG OP2 Leudjo Guy and the COCOM Captain Sokane and his collaborators Warrant Officer Bayemi and the CB Mabanda, Warrant Officer Mpondo, all in collusion with kidnappers and scammers in the city are sharing the loot.
The populations of the city of Kumba are caught between two fires. Criminality and terrorism in the city have taken on a terrible scale. As soon as we arrest a terrorist or criminal, they are immediately released by these bosses who prevent us from working. And they tell anyone who will listen that they are protected by the hierarchy.
I would like the DGSN and the SED to know what their men are doing on the ground and tarnishing the image of the Defense and Security Forces.
Here for example are exchanges between the criminals and these Defense and Security Forces:
'Good afternoon, how are you?

1,000,000F we will have 200,000 Fcfa
1,500,000F we will have 300,000 Fcfa

SMEARING THE VULNERABLE WILL NEVER HELP LRC AGAINST AMBAZONIA: An ongoing Cheap smear campaign against an elderly mother
By Timothy Enongene
Associate Editor-in-Chief, The Independentist News
On or around 20–21 October 2026, accounts linked to the self-styled “KontriMan” / “KontriPipo” network (commonly known as MKPD) published a coordinated post falsely accusing the mother of Fombat Forbah Dieudonne of involvement in “amba transactions” and arms-related activity. The post recycles earlier claims, attaches images of materials allegedly taken from another individual’s phone, circulates her photograph, and issues public calls framed as “amnesty” offers while naming her and her family.
These accusations are false.
The mother in question has never been involved in any activity connected to arms, weapons, or the fabrication or transfer of explosive materials. She is an elderly woman whose primary concern has been the survival and peace of her family.
In 2022, she, her children, and grandchildren as young as five and seven years old were rounded up by elements associated with MKPD and taken to Semil in Buea. MKPD (Ma Kontre Pipo De / My Kontro Pipo Dem) is a pro-government online network that operates primarily through Facebook and WhatsApp pages and groups. It specialises in publicly naming individuals it labels as Ambazonia supporters or fighters, circulating their images and personal details, and calling for action against them. Human-rights monitors and independent reporting have repeatedly documented how such online targeting has placed civilians at risk of harassment, arbitrary detention, or worse in the context of the Anglophone crisis.
Semil (Sécurité Militaire / Military Security) is a Cameroonian military intelligence and security service. Facilities associated with Semil in Buea have been the subject of multiple reports by human-rights organisations concerning arbitrary detention, incommunicado holding, and the treatment of people suspected of links to the conflict. The 2022 round-up of an entire multi-generational family — including very young children — and their transfer to such a facility left lasting trauma. The mother continues to live with serious health challenges and the daily struggle of an older person trying to hold a family together under conditions of insecurity.
The latest publication is not journalism or legitimate investigation. It is targeted propaganda that places an elderly civilian and her dependents at renewed risk. Circulating her image, repeating discredited claims of past arrest and “release out of pity,” and linking her name to ongoing armed activity serves only to intimidate and endanger non-combatants. The family remains under threat; her health makes any further harassment potentially life-threatening.
We reject these fabrications in full. No evidence has ever been produced that this mother participated in arms dealing or related activity. Attempts to drag an aging civilian into the conflict narrative by association with her adult children, and to weaponise the same online networks that previously facilitated the family’s detention, constitute collective punishment and psychological warfare against the most vulnerable.
The family demands that these false statements cease, that her image and private details stop being weaponised by MKPD-linked accounts, and that authorities and platforms take note of the clear pattern of targeting civilians through both online exposure and physical detention practices linked to Semil facilities in Buea. Peace and safety for elderly parents and young children should not be contingent on propaganda cycles.
Any further circulation of these claims will be treated as continued harassment of a non-combatant family already scarred by the 2022 detentions.
For the— Family of the targeted mother

30 AMBA FIGHTERS SURRENDER IN BAMENDA: TEN QUESTIONS DION NGUTE CANNOT KEEP DODGING
By Lester Maddox, Guest Contributor
Independentist News |
October 16, 2026
The reported surrender of 30 Ambazonia fighters during La République du Cameroun (LRC) Prime Minister Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute’s latest visit to Bamenda raises a fundamental question: Is the LRC government genuinely pursuing a political solution to the Ambazonia independence struggle, or is it recycling the same failed security and public-relations exercises while avoiding the issue at the heart of the war?
Dion Ngute is not the first LRC Prime Minister to embark on these missions. His predecessor, Philemon Yang, also travelled to the territory with promises of peace, reconciliation and development. Now, years into Dion Ngute’s tenure, the same script continues: a government delegation arrives, selected individuals are presented as repentant fighters, surrender figures make the headlines, and officials appeal for peace.
The problem is not that fighters are surrendering. Any individual who freely chooses to lay down arms deserves a safe, dignified and credible pathway towards civilian life. The problem is presenting such ceremonies as evidence of progress towards peace without answering the political questions that have sustained this war.
From the Ambazonian perspective, the conflict is not simply a matter of young people taking up weapons and needing to be persuaded to abandon them.
Prime Minister Dion Ngute, therefore, owes the people more than another visit to Bamenda. Here are ten questions that demand answers.
1. Why do fighters surrender whenever the Prime Minister visits?
If permanent disarmament structures already exist in the so-called North-West and South-West administrative regions, why do these highly publicised surrenders coincide with high-level government visits? What happens to these structures between the Prime Minister’s visits? Are the reported surrenders independently verified, and how many of those who surrender remain safely reintegrated months or years later?
2. Why exactly 30? Where is the independent verification?
Thirty fighters may genuinely have surrendered. The number itself proves neither deception nor success. But when a precise, round figure becomes the centrepiece of a government peace mission, the public is entitled to ask how it was established.
Who verified the identities of the individuals?
3. Did any recognised field commanders surrender, or are we counting individuals while ignoring the wider conflict?
The surrender of 30 individuals is not necessarily evidence that the armed groups operating in the territory have been strategically weakened. Were any recognised field commanders among those presented? If none were, what evidence demonstrates that this development will significantly alter the course of the war?
4. Are the bushes around Bamenda now empty?
If 30 fighters have surrendered, does the government believe the armed conflict around Bamenda is over? What about other areas of Ambazonia, where the conflict has continued to affect civilian life?
5. Can the people of Ambazonia expect peace, or should they prepare for another round of promises.
6. What can community dialogue achieve when the political dispute remains unresolved
7. How persuasive is a peace initiative while the Nera Ten remain incarcerated?
8. Why does Yaoundé continue to avoid the fundamental question: independence or a political arrangement acceptable to the people?
9. When will the LRC government accept credible third-party international mediation?
10. If disarmament is the objective, why not pursue a verifiable ceasefire as part of a political settlement?
The government celebrates the surrender of fighters, but where is the comprehensive initiative to halt hostilities and create conditions for meaningful negotiations?

.@AGToddBlanche: "Here in Pennsylvania, just over the past two months, here’s a few highlights of what the Department of Justice has done to combat fentanyl:
• There were indictments against four members of a drug organization in the Philadelphia area that were allegedly selling 1,600 individual bags of fentanyl every single day.
• We have sentences of a combined 45 years in prison for two co-defendants from Monroe County convicted of conspiracy to traffic fentanyl resulting in the death of several individuals.
• We had a 17.5-year prison sentence for an individual from New Castle who distributed fentanyl, heroin, cocaine while he was on federal supervised release after having his prior drug sentence commuted."
Reflection by Pope Leo XIV:
"For all the emphasis on individual freedom, people today frequently feel less free to be their genuine selves or follow their highest ideals, out of a hidden fear of being judged or of not fitting in. Moreover, this loss of openness to others, which exacerbates a sense of disunity, ultimately deprives us of the happiness for which we were created, since we are made in the image of the Triune God, who is himself a communion of persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In revealing the heart of the Father, Christ shows us the deepest meaning of our existence, of our relationships, and the path to happiness."
