HANNITY: You said you consulted with people who advised you it was okay to call yourself a lawyer but not an attorney, correct?
ZACHARIA: Correct
HANNITY: There's a report out tonight showing 15 social media posts where you identify yourself as an attorney

The bigger story is that the richest man in the world helped the Paxton campaign spread a completely made up story about his opponent and no one will face any consequences
Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico's viral hospital rumor has been debunked by time-stamped security footage reviewed by The New York Times — but the bigger story may be why his campaign sat on the evidence while the conspiracy theory exploded across social media for days.
Talarico disappeared from the campaign trail for nine days in early October, fueling rampant speculation that he had secretly traveled to an Ohio behavioral health center. His campaign maintained he was home with the flu, and security camera images from his Austin home now back that up. But GOP strategists and journalists are torching the campaign's response as "mind-numbing malpractice" for not releasing the footage sooner.
With Election Day just weeks away in one of the biggest Senate races in the country, the question has shifted from where Talarico was to why his team let the narrative spiral unchecked when they had the receipts the entire time.

Zacharia was at about a 1% odds favorite to becoming press secretary prior to today's developments but at least three traders placed "yes" bets on her getting the job prior to any news of Trump selecting her.

CNN: In late summer 2020, as protests over the murder of George Floyd spread, Texas state Rep. James Talarico told activists with Texas Rising — a group then explicitly calling for police departments to be defunded — that it was “rich” the slogan was treated as off-limits.
“As an educator, it’s always rich to me that ‘defund the police’ is considered off-limits in our political debate, when defunding health services, defunding public education has been the stated policy of our state government for decades now,” he said. He acknowledged the hashtag was “getting people all riled up” in his swing district, but said most people understood that armed officers should not be sent to minor traffic accidents or mental-health crises.
Now running for U.S. Senate, Talarico’s campaign says he did not call for and does not support defunding the police, and points to votes sending billions to local law enforcement. CNN reports his record from 2019 through at least 2022 is more nuanced: he backed limiting police power and community-based alternatives, and in 2022 told incarcerated students, “If we took just half of what we spent on wars, prisons, and policing, and spent it on education, healthcare, and jobs, we could make prisons obsolete.”
