A reading corner with cushions for the kids who think better curled up than seated upright. A learning space with bright shelves and hands-on displays for the ones just starting to find their letters & numbers. Different corners, different needs, built with the same idea in mind.

Curiosity, on display. From how things work to how our climate is changing, every book on this shelf is an open door to a bigger world. This is what discovery looks like. #KEYLibraries

Hands busy, minds engaged. Library time at Kinyona Primary isn't only about the shelves; it's about the games that get kids thinking, sharing, and having fun together. #KEYLibraries

So many stories. So many possibilities. At Key Libraries, we believe every child deserves a shelf full of choices, because a child who can pick their own book is a child learning to trust their own voice. One library. One shelf. One reader at a time. #LiteracyMatters

A library like this doesn't happen by accident. Full shelves, real reading corners, and a room students actually want to spend time in. This is the KEY Library at Precious Blood Riruta Secondary School, built to make reading part of everyday school life, not just an assignment.

Hadithi on the Move wrapped last week! We teamed up with Wangari the Storyteller to bring real author experiences into schools across Vihiga & Elgeyo Marakwet. Kids got to see a book come alive in front of them, not just read one. Grateful to the schools that opened their doors

School's out. But learning doesn't stop. 📚 Children who read during holidays return to class ahead. The difference isn't talent; it's access. KEY Libraries holiday programs are open. Books, puzzles, games, coding. Come in. 📍 #KEYLibraries #SchoolHolidays #AfricaReads

Puzzles don't look like learning. That's exactly why they work. Every piece a child picks up, turns around, and tries again is building patience, focus, and problem-solving, one click at a time. This is KEY Libraries on a Monday. #KEYLibraries #ChildDevelopment #KidsEducation

School's on mid-term break, but learning doesn't have to pause. KEY Libraries has the books, puzzles, and games to keep curious minds busy this break. A quiet space to read, explore, and discover something new. 📍Visit a branch near you. #MidTermBreak #RaisingReaders

Backs turned to us, eyes fixed on the screen. That's focus. In this small moment, four students are doing something bigger than they realise, building skills that will shape how they learn, think, and grow for years to come. #KEYLibraries #EveryChildCounts

A library is more than shelves and books. It's a gateway to imagination, knowledge, and opportunity. Every child deserves access to stories that inspire, educate, and empower. #KEYLibraries #LiteracyMatters #BooksChangeLives

A child in Shella shouldn't know less than a child in Nairobi just because of WiFi. We installed @KiwixOffline on 10 library computers with @WikimediaKE giving 40+ students offline access to Wikipedia. No internet. No data costs. Knowledge belongs to everyone.

This is what possibility looks like. The Chepsigot Primary School KEY library is more than a room full of books. It's a place where curiosity is welcome, and every child who walks through the door finds something that speaks to them. Open shelves. Open minds. Open doors.

Last week, we joined @Eewangari at Kinyona Primary School for a Meet the Author session! Learners participated in storytelling, discussions & a spelling competition. One boy is already writing his own stories. The next generation of storytellers is HERE! #KEYLibraries

Some weeks fill the cup. Last week was one. 💛 At the Nigerian Int'l Book Fair, we connected with publishers, discovered African kids' books, and explored coding and AI for kids. The energy, the ideas, and the people are all a reminder of why this work matters.

Quiet now. Not for long. Friday morning in our school library, the calm before the best kind of chaos. #KEYLibraries
