Thank you to the outgoing Senior Prefects (and Sennen and Gareth) for representing the School at this morning’s Shakespeare Service, the final act of their tenure. Superb ambassadors as always!
We were delighted that our friends from Sano Nihon University High School were able to join us for the Shakespeare Birthday Parade today.
This morning I ran (hobbled) around the Paris Marathon 2025 to raise funds for BHMT teenage mental health charities in memory of Joe Harris (KES 2007-14). If you’d like to donate you can do so below. Thank you!

A fantastic celebration of the diverse cultures that enrich our School community. Thank you to all who shared traditions, performances and stories.
Splendid speeches from our Sports Captains this evening. Well done to them and all of tonight’s nominees and prize winners.
Thomas’s chapter turned out to be but a page, but a memorable one. He did a fine job as Headmaster for the Day following a successful bid at last year’s May Ball silent auction.
Congratulations to Thomas Nyland who has been appointed as my successor. It has been a privilege to serve King Edward VI School as Headmaster and I look forward to seeing Thomas lead the School through the next chapter of its long and distinguished history.
As the holy month of Ramadan ends, I wish our Muslim students and their families a blessed and joyful Eid-al-Fitr.
Eid Mubarak!
There’s surely not been a better demonstration of the versatility of the Edward’s Boys company than the fabulous Hester double-bill. A daring, tense political drama followed by a comical romp brimming with irreverence. Loved it! Well done to everyone involved.
A fantastic turn out for last night’s FoKES meeting. Thank you to everyone for answering the call to arms and particularly Dawn Waller for taking on the role of Chair.
If you ever needed evidence of @PaulHarris_Cl ‘s assertion that “A musical school is a happy school” you only need to have attended this fantastic concert. Breathtaking musicianship and performances bursting with enthusiasm and joy.
Well done to everyone involved in the Gala Concert! Congratulations to the House Music Competition soloists. @PaulHarris_Cl chose Alex J (Year 13 - Dyson) as overall winner with Joshua T (Year 10) & Evie K (Year 13) as runners up. Lots of memorable ensemble performances too! 🎶
Many congratulations to Raphael Bedford who has been selected to represent Great Britain in the World Fencing Championships in Xuhi, China in April.
