Scott Kretschzmar filed a lawsuit before Lucy Craig’s recent civil suit alleging that Cornell University wrongly punished him. While he was allowed to graduate, he still received disciplinary comments. He was not found to be “more likely than not” guilty of sexual assault. The university however punished him for “sexual exploitation,” which he was not charged with. Kretzschmar has appealed, arguing that he was punished for something he didn’t know he was supposed to defend against, given his innocence on both charges. According to Craig and himself, Kretzschmar was not involved in the least, with Kretzschmar saying he actually went to check on Craig. Nevertheless, the Cornell Sun, led by Rayen Zhou, Zara Cheek, Sophia Romanov, and Sophie Dasser, doxxed him and insinuated he was guilty of a gang rape, resulting in attacks on him. Follow: @AFpost

I'm glad a reporter asked her about this. It seems obvious that Letitia James has already prejudged this case and should not serve as special prosecutor... and also that Kathy Hochul doesn't know what she's talking about... We should be very concerned about diminishing prospects for basic fairness here...
Reporter: "Attorney General, on your Facebook page three days ago, you wrote, ‘What this young woman has been forced to endure is horrific and unacceptable. I'm holding her in my heart and in my prayers. To her and to all survivors, you're not alone. We stand with you.’ Why did you affirm her allegations as fact without doing your own fact-finding investigation? And to the governor, why did you appoint an official who made a public statement affirming those allegations as fact as someone who's supposed to be doing an investigation?” New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D): “I will answer that. I have every confidence in our Attorney General to do what she has always done. Look at the facts, examine the record, and draw the proper conclusions. That's exactly what's going to happen in this case. Attorney General, please.” New York Attorney General Letitia James: “I will not comment on a Facebook post.” Great question!

I lived in Canada for nearly a decade. Up there they have a practice called “hallway medicine” where they park beds and treat people in hallways because there are no rooms available. One of my best friends was rushed to the ER with the worst headache of her life — and she had a history of brain cancer. They made her wait (which can take hours in a Canadian ER). Eventually she slumped over and died of an aneurism at the age of 25. I was once waiting with my wife to be seen for a staph infection on her face. About six hours in of waiting in the ER waiting room (and being harassed several times by a drunk homeless woman for cigarettes) a large man comes in bleeding from his abdomen. They made him sit and wait to be triaged with a growing puddle of blood on the floor in front of him. After about a half an hour he begged to be seen and showed them that he was bleeding and they got annoyed with him and told him to go sit back down and wait. We waited about 10 hours and then decided to go home. My mother-in-law waited for nearly an entire year to have her neurostimulator that is literally wired into her spine replaced. She was bumped three times — one time she was literally ON THE OPERATING TABLE when she got rescheduled. Yet you won’t hear complaints from Canadians about their healthcare system because it’s an unspoken taboo — but when every 1 in 20 Canadians is being killed by their government intentionally, it’s becoming hard to ignore.

Thank you @MattWelch for pointing out that Piker has no idea what the phrase “pound for pound” means. It’s been driving me crazy that no one was mentioning that. BTW, good @wethefifth episode w/ @Tyler_A_Harper

Here are a few fun facts! 🧩 The east coast of the United States has only been hit by one major hurricane (Category 3–5) in the past 30 years (Jeanne, 2004). So, there have been none in the last two decades. No state north of Florida have been struck by a major hurricane in more than 30 years (Fran, 1996). New England has not been hit by a major since Carol (1954). The most recent overall was Bob (1991). A major hurricane has not made direct landfall in the state of Georgia since 1898. By this metric, it's the quietest 30-year period for the east coast in over a century. There were six MHs from 1907–36, eleven from 1937–66, and three from 1967–96. However, the 1967–96 period had the fewest overall hurricane landfalls in the mix with fourteen. The most was 1937–66 with 32 total hurricane strikes.

A Nova Scotia woman had precancerous cells on her cervix. That was two years ago. Pap smear. Abnormal cells. Referral to a gynecologist so they could find out if it was cancer. The referral sat for nine months. She finally gets an appointment. She shows up on time — 10 a.m., in her calendar. The office says it was at 9. Won’t see her. Won’t reschedule. Start over. New referral. She leaves crying. Seven more months go by. They call about an appointment she was never told about. She can’t take it. She’s on a TV contract. Miss it and they can sue her. Next opening: next year. They don’t even call her back. She has to chase them. She said the quiet part out loud: imagine dying of cervical cancer while you wait just to see a gyno. That is Canada’s “universal healthcare.” Not free care. A government monopoly that loses your referral, punishes you for their scheduling error, and hands a possible cancer case a calendar date in another year. Coverage on paper. Care on a waitlist. You pay the taxes either way. The state decides when you’re allowed to find out if you have cancer. This is the model they want to import as Medicare for All. Don’t.

Never forget ‼️⚠️ In 2021, Leilani Lutali was in stage 5 kidney failure. She already had a living donor, Jaimee Fougner, a friend from Bible study. UCHealth in Colorado told them the transplant was on track. Then the policy changed. Both women were given 30 days to start the COVID vaccine or be dropped from the list. Leilani offered to sign a waiver. They refused. The hospital’s line was simple: no shot, no kidney. She did not die on that list. She and Jaimee went to Baylor in Texas. The transplant went ahead without the mandate. Kidney function jumped from about 5% to 73% after surgery. A willing donor. A dying patient. And a hospital that made the injection the price of staying alive. Never forget they did this. cbsnews.com/colorado/news/uc…

Broke my back in Singapore n 2024. Surgeon in Singapore told me I need a surgery right now or I may lose my legs. Canada told me minimum 8 months of wait. I decided to go private and pay extra even if I already pay a tons of taxes. Did the surgery and now I'm completely heal. Canada called me 587 days later to say they were ready for my surgery. The system in Canada is ridiculous. It doesn't work and it's net negative.
Canada resident breaks down in tears because he life may be over, “I'm about to be a victim of the Canadian healthcare system” She has cancer. She did everything she was asked to including Chemo, additional tests and seeing the multiple specialists required for surgery. Unfortunately because the way healthcare works in Canada, the process took so long that her tumor has now spread and she’s no longer a candidate for surgery “ These past five weeks of having to go through the system, waiting for appointments, waiting for diagnostic imaging, waiting for results and reports, my tumor has spread way too far — They let me sit there for two months with no treatment — this is the system that we live in” What’s crazy is I found this is not uncommon in Canada, and can actually even take much longer than this On the faster end for high priority major cancer it takes 6–12 weeks from the “we think we can operate” meeting to the OR, plus 4–8 weeks of extra tests beforehand 3- 6 months of sequential waits Slower provinces can take 6–12 months or more. Quebec’s public lists show thousands waiting for obstetric, gynecologic surgery. The lists show hundreds of people already past 6–12 months mark in waiting We do not want universal healthcare like this in America This is what liberals are fighting for
