It’s undeniable that Washington state is facing a public safety crisis.
Only two states have a higher overall crime rate, according to the most recent FBI report: New Mexico and Colorado.
Despite this grim reality, legislative Democrats are doubling down on their soft-on-crime policies:
🔴HB 1178 would reduce sentences for gun, drug, and other dangerous crimes around schools and bus stops.
🔴HB 1125 would give judges discretion to reduce criminal sentences for inmates.
🔴SB 5312 would lower penalties for sex predators caught in “net nanny” sting operations where law enforcement officers pose as minors online to apprehend adults attempting to commit sexual crimes against children.
🔴HB 1380 would allow dangerous encampments to occupy our public spaces.
