There’s a difference between having a platform and honoring the responsibility that comes with it. Leadership isn’t about reacting to everything — it’s about staying focused on what actually serves the broader good. #SuperBowlLX

Hot take: blaming any “other” doesn’t actually help anyone in need of help or just representation. Enough rhetoric. Enough blaming everyone else for everything. Is that really so much to ask?

This sounds familiar… recently… somehow? Reportedly Netanyahu: “This can be done the easy way or it can be done the hard way, but it will be done.” 🤔

If dems want to win support, they need ONE consistent clean line to counter “dems want to fund healthcare for illegals.”

Seriously @CityofHoboken what are you doing about e-bike delivery people who ignore literally every traffic law we have in this town?

I will join whatever board needs to be joined. I’m not at all suggesting that this industry goes away, but there have to be some guardrails around safety issues.

Reading about this rumored “$5k Baby Bonus”… It’s a short term fix for a long term problem. Instead, go with plans from @BernieSanders @SenWarren - raise wages, support childcare for working parents!! THOSE measures will make kids affordable again. MKAA, MAGA!

Is anyone that matters listening to you @ChrisMurphyCT ??!! And more important: What are those people — and YOU — doing about it??! Enough think pieces. More action.
Murphy: This is also a political tool for Trump. You can see what he’s doing with these universities and law firms—penalizing them and making them come to him to pledge loyalty. I think it’s likely the same thing could happen with the tariffs: each big company or industry will have to come to Trump to get tariff relief in exchange for political loyalty, in exchange for a commitment to buy Trump cryptocoin, or to make sure their workers don’t speak out against him. He’s trying to destroy democracy. And the reason these tariffs may not make any sense when you look at the design is because maybe they’re not really economic or trade policy. Maybe they’re actually political policy. So once again, it’s an absolute disaster for regular working people—and maybe a big threat to our democracy.

So… for someone smarter than me, are all these recently fired employees eligible for unemployment? If so, who foots that bill. OR, if not, and they ultimately need SNAP or Medicare… are we really saving money by laying off these vast numbers of people?

Literally just almost got hit by an e-bike running a red light with a @HobokenPD car sitting on the opposite side of the same red light! Did they do anything? No! If a car ran a red, they would be all over that. What gives? @CityofHoboken

Someone smarter than me, explain this: what’s the harm lowering or even (gasp!) eliminating income tax on those earning less than (relatively arbitrary number here) $400k/yr, and raising taxes (in an incremental way) for those earning more? Level the playing field? @steveliesman?

Shower thought: MANY Americans have very strong (understandable) feelings about everything that has been going on in Washington, but fear of being “cancelled” or (more critically) losing their much needed jobs holds people back. So… what to do?

@MichaelSteele - segment on this? What are WE the people supposed to do? WE keep being told to speak up and speak out… but the fear of personal retribution is real.
