Today, The Duchess of Edinburgh visited The King’s Arms Project, a charity dedicated to tackling homelessness, displacement, and isolation in the Bedford area.   During the visit, Her Royal Highness joined an English language class to find out how immigrant and refugee women are gaining independence through learning the language they need for everyday conversations and interactions.

We support the work that @UNHCRUK and its partners have been doing to develop alternatives to detention (AtD). The 2nd Evaluation Report of their Community Engagement Pilot series is out. The research, a collaboration between UNHCR, UK Gov & the team at @NatCen, sheds light on the impact of community-based support for people seeking asylum.
