Lucky to be part of a remarkable group of experts working on the historic #ITLOSAO project, asking the Tribunal on the Law of the Sea for an Advisory Opinion on states’ obligations to protect the marine environment from climate change.
The COSIS Committee of Legal Experts and Assistants held a meeting in The Hague on July 22nd to prepare the historic #ITLOSAO hearing commencing September 11 in Hamburg, and the #ICJAO4Climate written statement to be submitted by October 20, 2023. #ClimateJustice in action ⚖️

It was an honour and a pleasure. Many thanks for the invitation to speak @UZH_en and for the engaged discussion!
We’ve got a gorgeous room, several KlimaSeniorinnen in the audience and an eye-opening talk by @JuttaBrunnee - if I do say so myself, the 4th Ursula Brunner Lecture is off to a wonderful start.
