FSD was a gimmick at one point also. Doesn’t mean you should continue to improve it. Gotta start somewhere. The Wright Brothers first flight was only 12 seconds. Should we have given up on flying then??
I hate to be the one to burst the Tesla bubble today, but the spectacular “flight” we witnessed at the Roadster reveal needs a little context. The car is carrying around 250kg of compressed air, plus the weight of the tanks, valves and thrusters needed to contain and release it.
Based on the published figures, that gives it roughly 1.5–2 seconds of maximum thrust before the system needs to be refilled.
In short, it's a gimmick.
I would say the reason I touch my screen most in my tesla is to fix the orientation of the map! I can’t be the only one. Should be an easy fix for Tesla.

If you believe this is happening in schools, you’re a fucking idiot.
I feel like Tesla owes me a free wiper blade for my cyber truck for all the dry wipes. This thing should have at least double the life that it does.
I don’t understand why everybody’s crazy about Starlink mini. I put one in my truck over the weekend for a drive to Indiana and back. It was slow. I did several different speed tests and the stock connection in my cyber truck was getting faster speeds every time.
Cool explanation, but the redesigned covers still have a problem. Owners are reporting the rubber outer section separating from the aero covers—even on replacement covers—and in some cases slapping the truck at highway speeds. Hopefully @Tesla can address this next. Needs a fix.
Replying to @wmorrill3
The aero covers and the All-terrain tires were designed together to have some really cool sidewall features.
The covers that shipped on day 1 had a rubber flap that would rub on the tire and leave a mark. It was not a structural concern since the tire sidewall feature had extra rubber exactly in this spot. We made a change anyway to both the tire and the cover to avoid rubbing
Cybertruck + neon + the Val Air Ballroom. Had to get the shot. ⚡️

There’s something different about seeing a show from this close. The energy just kept building all night.
Des Moines showed up. 🤘

These @97honestav photos from Des Moines somehow hit 300K+ views on Facebook, so I figured X should get them too. 🔥

So I’ve got a nice 150 mile streak going pull into a supercharger that has both V3’s and old V2’s of course my cyber truck starts to back into a V2 so I have to take over and ruin my streak come on @TeslaCharging
Everyone argues about how Cybertruck looks. The engineering is the real story: 48V architecture, true steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering, structural stainless steel, 800V, Powershare & Etherloop. After 55,000+ miles, that’s what still impresses me most. ⚡️
You can hate the truck. You can’t hate the shot. 📸⚡️

POV: You’ve spent two years telling everyone the Cybertruck is garbage… and mine is closing in on 60,000 miles. 😂
Thoughts and prayers to the comment section. 🙏🤣

Still ugly. Still weird. Still love driving it. 😂
Almost 60,000 miles in, and a Nebraska sunset can still make the Cybertruck look pretty damn good. 🌅📸
I’m sure the comment section will be completely reasonable. 😏
