Everyone wants to beat games within 2 days and I will never understand it.

The problem with HGSS apologia it answers arguments in a vacuum and not in context. For example you can rematch trainers. But only once a week and will randomly call you for flavor text. The unreliability of trainer calls and the astonishingly low level curve hurts the pace.

Johto is forever tarnished because over the last 10 years the Pokemon community has been conditioned with Youtube challenge runs being 1 video and the dead of Lets Plays that you are supposed to be equal to the level of the Gym leader's ace. The baby game in which you one shot anything if you use a STAB super effective move and they will burn you at the stake if you're 10 levels below the E4. In what other video games does this even apply to, what other boss fights do you have where your stats are supposed to equal that of the boss.

For years I’ve been saying that the Johto level curve is an issue that does not exist Finally a YouTuber that actually plays these games and proves it’s not an issue. An OG Poketuber too Its so refreshing after many modern Poketubers have turned it into a common misconception

i think lowkeyyyyy the problem is that, nowadays, if a game insists that you interact with its mechanics or makes the strongest equipment in the game be something you work for rather than something you just buy halfway through the game, it's considered """bad game design"""

This narrative from newgen Pokémon fans is so bizarre because I’ve played HG/SS multiples times and not once have I had to stop my journey to grind for hours. I’m able to beat all the major fights without any difficulty. Such a made up complaint.

Realized that because I don't know anything about the Regi puzzle besides needing to read Braille (which is apparent by this point) that I have the extremely rare opportunity to do this as God intended. This is the best video game of all time

It is as simple as asking yourself “does this behavior reflect who they are today?” because if the answer is no, publicly lambasting them is an entirely self-serving and unhelpful endeavor. Nothing is achieved by making someone feel shamed again and again after they’ve learned!

I want someone to explain to me what "letting people grow" means exactly. What does that entail from your perspective.

i never understood this obsession with symmetry from pokemon fans. why is it considered a crime for some types to be less represented than others? why can’t it possibly be that the lack of electrics make winona and water bosses require more creative strategies and teambuilding?
