Difficult to describe in ordinary words or language just how corrupt Trump is and how unprecedented Trump's corruption is.
“Another way of saying it is simply that we’re replacing the free market with the market for Trump’s affections.”

While filming SEINFELD's "The Marine Biologist" episode, the writers felt the ending didn't work, and last minute realized they could connect Kramer's storyline of hitting golf balls into the ocean and George's storyline of attempting to save a beached whale. At 2AM, they wrote Jason Alexander's speech that would close out the episode, and handed it to him the following morning, thirty minutes before the scene would have to be taped. Alexander said "No problem", quickly memorized the dialogue, and nailed the scene in one take 🔥 it's still absolutely insane he never won an Emmy for playing George Costanza

Fox Business’ Edward Lawrence: “We know that the Fed’s FAVORITE inflation measure SHOWS that inflation is actually coming down… In this PCE report, it showed actually deflation when you look at month over month from May to June.”
“The first quarter [GDP] finished at 2.1%, and the first estimate for the second quarter is 1.5%. That’s strong growth. Inflation falling, this is why the Federal Reserve did not move on interest rates yesterday.”

Bob Odenkirk reveals how a cameraman's joke accidentally inspired Better Call Saul.
"The first scene that I did in Breaking Bad when Saul has Walter White in his office somewhere after half an hour, 40 minutes of shooting, the director yelled cut. And one of the cameramen said, Can I get a job on the sequel? And everyone laughed because I guess everyone was thinking this character is pretty great, pretty fun to see."
"From that point on, it was a joke that are they going to make a sequel with Saul? And every year, one time a year, Vince Gilligan would pull me aside somewhere and say, what do you think about that? Do you think there could be a show in Saul? And every time he'd ask me, I'd say, I have no idea. Only you know that. And if you want to write that, I'll do it."
"It really wasn't until the finale of Breaking Bad, I want to say a year after that Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, who wrote the first episode that featured Saul, called Better Call Saul, they took me to a lunch at the Chateau Marmont, famous Hollywood place, and said, We're thinking about creating that show, and what do you think?"
"I said, First of all, you're going to have to make him likable. Saul isn't sort of fun on his own. He's fun in the context of Breaking Bad. And the other thing I said to them was, and don't forget I'm 50 years old. So, you know, please don't write him as a 30-year-old cause I'm not 30. And of course, then they went and wrote him as like 30. So, yeah. You know, they had to CGI the bags from under my eyes in like three scenes on Better Call Saul."

Trump: "I want to personally congratulate CNN's Kaitlan Collins on receiving her award. It was all about me. It was a fake, she shouldn't get the award, it was a fake — but I didn't mind, I said, 'Kaitlan, congratulations.' But it was fake, there's no question about it. She's a young, attractive woman. She never smiles. I said, 'Kaitlan do you ever smile?' Smile. You have a nice position, you're at CNN fake news. You should be a happy person. So smile, Kaitlan, just smile."
Michael Jordan's Nike contract paid him $2.5 million over five years. his mother demanded one extra clause that has since paid him over $1.3 billion.
in 1984 Jordan didn't want Nike. he wanted Adidas. he refused to even take the meeting.
his mother Deloris made him go.
Nike offered $500,000 a year - more than double Adidas. everyone in the room was ready to sign. Deloris wasn't. she called Nike's Sonny Vaccaro personally and told him her son needed something else: a percentage of every single shoe sold with his name on it.
nobody had ever done that. athletes got paid a fee and went home.
Nike reluctantly agreed.
they projected $3 million in Air Jordan sales for year one. they hit $126 million. in the first six weeks they sold 1.5 million pairs.
Jordan Brand now generates around $7 billion a year. Jordan personally collects roughly 5% of every item sold - over $350 million last year alone, decades after he stopped playing.
Nike was so unsure about him they wrote four escape clauses into the deal. he cleared every one in his rookie season.
"a shoe is just a shoe until my son steps into it." - Deloris Jordan
the salary made him rich for five years. the clause his mother insisted on made him a billionaire forever ↓
Warren Buffett's Berkshire just sold another $24.1 billion in stocks - the 14th straight quarter of net selling, the longest streak in its history.
everyone is reading that as a crash warning. that's not what it is.
Buffett has done this before. he sat on cash through 1969, through 1999, and through 2007 - every time the crowd called him finished. every time he was buying at the bottom while everyone else was liquidating.
the cash pile is now $397 billion, parked in Treasuries earning roughly $12 billion a year. that's not fear. that's a loaded gun waiting for a price.
"if they're 5% or 6% cheaper… we aren't in it to make 5% or 6%."
he isn't predicting a collapse. he's saying nothing is cheap enough yet. those are completely different statements.
"we've never had people in a more gambling mood than now" - he called the market a church with a casino attached, and said many prices look awfully silly.
Greg Abel, now CEO, exited 16 positions entirely - cutting the portfolio from 42 holdings to 29.
the headline says Buffett is scared. the filing says he's patient. one of those is a strategy ↓

And there you have it.
Donald Trump released these documents tonight believing they would finally prove the 2020 election was rigged against him.
Instead, his own release reinforced the exact opposite: Russia interfered to damage Joe Biden and benefit Donald Trump.
The central @HunterBiden -Burisma bribery smear was built on fabricated claims from an FBI informant with Russian contacts, a man now serving six years in federal prison. Meanwhile, Hunter Biden is winning millions in court over defamatory lies.
Trump tried to expose a conspiracy against himself and accidentally exposed the operation that benefited him.
Absolute, breathtaking incompetence.
Thanks for releasing the receipts, Donald!
This is really incredible. Docs released by Trump tonight confirm RUSSIA tried to spread claims Biden was engaged in criminal activity vis-a-vis Burisma and that it advanced those narratives "with US officials" and planed a "high-profile corruption scandal... at the peak of the 2020 US presidential campaign."
