Ring night obviously awesome at the Garden, so jealous of everyone in that building. This summer was so so fun
Now to talk hoops - I’ll be honest, I thought all offseason the media was overplaying the Big Mitch loss. Good player sure, but he played like 12 min a game in the playoffs. Very replaceable skill set, and I think Drummond is gonna slot in nicely. Quietly excited about Wiseman too maybe he can have some impact this season

Are they playing a good defense? If the answer is yes, they’ll play like shit and lose. Rodgers has no ability to stand in the pocket and fire while potentially taking hits, and he won’t throw risky throws to tamper his precious INT records

That kick by Liam Coen/the #Jaguars was inexcusable. I don’t care he made it from 60. Tying the game, 2 minutes left, your opponent has 3 timeouts and has put up 31 points against your defense. Absolutely no reason to believe your defense can prevent 30 yards there and a game winning field goal

So many dumb decisions, starting with giving Grisham the QO. The FO got so cute, got completely blindsided, and that was the beginning of the end. He predictably had a terrible regression season that every model except the Yanks predicted.
Awesome. Fun. I’ve decided - boycott is on until further notice. I placed it 2 years ago before they went and got Belli + Fried + Colony Pizza, but it has been re-placed. Not spending a cent on this team until Cashman and Boone are gone

Alright I haven’t talked #Yankees in a while so here are some pre-season thoughts:
I can’t believe they are running it back, and I also can’t believe I’m confident in this squad. Such an oxymoron.
At the end of last season if you told me the squad would basically be the exact same, I’d have told you to fuck off. But at the same time, they won a lot of baseball games last year, you expect leaps from guys like Ben Rice (and maybe another breakout, McMahon? Jones?), you get Gerrit Cole (and later maybe Clarke Schmidt) back, and the bench is deeper than last year. So overall just a better squad. If healthy it’s a World Series squad, but likely a pitcher will get TJ and we lose a bat at some point
Ceiling is World Series. Floor is WC exit. I’m gonna guess 96 wins this year which wins the division; they win ALDS, lose in ALCS. But hey, here’s to the rollercoaster that is 162 I can’t wait! 🥂🍻

Good QB. Injury prone so he will def always need a serviceable-to-good OLine. But the decision making, processing speed, and accuracy are there. It’s clear as day when you go from any other backup QB to him, the offense improves dramatically and the best skill players (Bijan, London) get the ball way more often
