I have asked repeatedly for the evidence that this nation, this culture, has even hinted at turning away from its love of death and its rebellion against God’s ways. I’ve seen nothing. The Culture of Death still runs the public indoctrination system. Government leaders continue to promote the murder of the unborn and the mutilation of the born, the profanation of marriage and the promotion of sexual deviancy. The communists are dedicated to it and call it good, the former “conservatives” who are now just the spineless opposition had no serious commitments to a positive repentance of the nation and a turn to godliness. Christ rules the nations. He will win “down here.” But I have been crystal clear for quite a while: part of that ruling is judgment upon the rebellious. Final winning often looks like losing badly when judgment falls upon the nation where God has placed you and yours. It feels like we are moving back to, oh, 2022. The purple haired Karens will be back with a vengeance. The Supreme Court? Done. Alito and Thomas cannot live forever. Even if they could, the communists will destroy the Court by packing it with their acolytes, so Constitutional safeguards and freedoms are, for all intents and purposes, in hospice care. (And, if I may observe in passing: I do not believe Donald Trump will complete his term in office. The communists promised this to their supporters, and with the Senate filled with communist traitors now, well, they will follow through with their intentions). Might this take some time? Possibly. But not as much as it would have in the past, I do believe. Which brings me back to the reality: God’s judgments are just. They are “altogether righteous.” This nation deserves the traitors and enemies who now take power in Washington. We have had bright light of gospel truth for many decades, and have sinned against it. This is why Christless Nationalism is such an utter abomination: the one power given to the church has always been the gospel, the one thing the Christless Nationalists refuse to make central (hint: “Christ is King” a banner over Alex Jones). They mock the need for revival and the changing of hearts. Well, looks like they really did a bang up job yesterday, didn’t they? In any case, I have been saying for years now: our prayer must be for wisdom in how to hold high the cross of Christ in a culture that hates Him and His lordship at the highest levels. It may well be costly. Very costly. How many are ready to take up that cross and follow? I do not ask that question lightly, believe me. I ask myself the same question.
