Couple of things that upset me about this A) it’s not holding. He chops his arm down and he lost his balance B) this is very important. Holding is only supposed to be called if it could effect the play. The DE is double teamed and the ball is gone at the time of the “holding”. He’s nowhere near the QB. Just an all time bad call. It’s an official looking to be part of the game.
This was the holding call that brought back FSU's miracle catch in the end zone... Did they make the right call?

Tough back to back losses for Alabama. One more of those and they won’t be competing for a bye in late November. (Tweets from 2027)

Im so fucking sick of these idiotic, false equivalancy defenses of the stupid playoff expansion. The more CFB gets like the NFL, the worse it becomes. Theyre ruining everything that made it unique and special
TheNFL has 32 teams. 14 make the playoffs. The FBS has 138 teams. People are freaking out about 24 of them making the playoff and how it's going to ruin the regular season. Get real people!!

Shoutout Rece Davis for not being afraid to say that he is staunchly against the 24 team playoff. I wish every one of them would’ve just come out and said it. It’s a disaster and college football is going to be meaningless. Money is going to ruin what was once the most exciting sport in the country.

Outrageous holding call on FSU on the first Hail Mary for a touchdown. Absolute thievery.
The ridiculous Florida State-Miami 2OT finish. Tom Hart, Roddy Jones... and the ACC Game Day Operations Center on the ESPN call. 🏈🎙️

Hilarious that the most chaotic week of college football this year happens the same week we find out none of this would really matter if it happened next year

Miami is once again gifted a win in the ACC. Not one but two touchdowns are overturned. AFTER the second one, that ended the game, the head official shakes Michael Irvin’s hand. Pathetic @theACC

What a day. It's like the CFB Gods are saying to us "You really want to mess with this regular season drama?"

College football is so much of a better product than the NFL … and it isn’t even close. Stop trying to make CFB the NFL.

Funny thing is, it's actually the opposite - today proves why 12 is the right number, not 24. Texas losing today - means nothing in 2027. Tennessee beats Alabama - oh cool, now Bama is the 17 seed instead of hosting a first round game. So yeah, the 24-team playoff still sucks
The “24 team playoff sucks” crowd is very quiet today NIL leveled the playing field There are no great teams It’s wide open Give more teams a chance in the playoff And you still retain a bonkers regular season Win win

The Texas losses in each of the last two weeks would be … HUGE in the BCS era REALLY big in the 4-team playoff era Concerning in the 12-team playoff era Sort of a problem in a 24-team playoff era The regular season has been absolutely wrecked. Great job, decision-makers

AUB/UGA BAMA/TENN MIZZOU/MISS all kick off at the same time Seems like poor programming for an entity that is changing the very structure of the sport for television programming.

Everyone is missing the point that the majority don’t want college football to be like every other sport lol
"Expanding the playoffs to 24 teams means that now 17% of college football teams will make the playoffs. In the NFL it's 44% and yet it's never killed our interest in the regular season." @colincowherd doesn't buy that a 24-team playoff will kill college football

I mean I’m fine with passing out participation trophies at a 8u soccer league but maybe let’s keep the postseason to teams who are actually capable of winning a national title. Just a thought. Radical I know, but just an idea.
If my math is correct.... Since 2014, there have been 27 different teams make the CFB Playoff. Had a 24 team playoff in 2014, 80 different teams would have made the playoffs at least once.

Exactly. Winning the Citrus Bowl, Alamo Bowl, Pop-Tarts Bowl, etc. is infinitely better than the 23-seed playing in some irrelevant first-round CFP game where they lose by 42 to Miami and end the year feeling bad.
We've reached a point of diminishing returns. A 24-team CFP appearance is no longer an accomplishment. TCU's Alamo Bowl win over USC, Illinois' Music City Bowl win over Tennessee, Virginia's TaxSlayer Bowl win over Mizzou - those all mean more than a 24-team 1st-round CFP loss.

We were good at four because with the conference championship games, we were really at about 8.
"My only concern about the 24-team College Football Playoff is the amount of games these guys are playing.. I get a little concerned about how much is too much when it comes to how many games a college player plays.. I think 16 would be a good compromise for the College Football Playoff" ~ Coach Saban #PMSLive
