The term #AISlop is accurate; but it doesn’t encompass what that “slop” looks like (at first glance) … which is impressive. Perhaps this exposes a human bias for perceived intelligence & robustness, that in the end might be shallow, wrong, or completely made up in their minds …

❄️🐾 Tracks in the snow tell a story. 🐾❄️ You can see where something went, how direct the path was and where it hesitated. @MongoDB queries leave tracks too.
When a query feels slow, guessing won’t help … that’s exactly what .explain() is for!

🎉 Another New Year 🎉 ... Another Reset? If you follow a football ⚽️ (soccer) team that attempt at a reset might be on the pitch and your @MongoDB database. But the same mistakes ❌ keep happening?!

One of the dumbest things about the @NFL are the rules against actually enjoying and celebrating scoring.
First Cole Palmer, now Harry Kane … and I flew all the way over from the 🇺🇸 to see this game! Well maybe also some other stuff, but still. 😭 #ENGvWAL
I love this! And there might be phases of life too, for example I spent a lot of time hacking in my basement when my boys were younger. Now I coach their soccer teams & don’t (currently) have time for that. Doesn’t mean I’m not 💯 into tech (but yes I’m actually side coding a tool for our soccer club too, haha)!
I absolutely love this bit of Schmetzer’s style. Sure it was tongue in cheek (at first) … but this fun, heartwarming confidence in his players (he called out others too) really makes them believe they can compete … and they reward their coach for that with nights like this.
They have been putting in more & more roundabouts in Colorado Springs, including the entrance to our neighborhood. I love it!
Roundabouts are safer. They save lives. They cost less! They pollute less.
Former Carmel, Indiana mayor @JimBrainard replaced nearly every stoplight in his town with them. It was a success:

Used to live in Interbay overlooking this field & my son (who was a toddler) loved to watch anything that ever happened on that field. He just started his first 11v11 season & his 🤯 if he still had the same view he had as a little kid. Congrats @GoBallardFC !! #upthebridges
Man, watching him smile like kid as all his teammates each got their medals … waiting for the trophy 🏆 lift … heartwarming. Not my club 😝, but congrats @ChelseaFC #ClubWorldCupFinal
Out of two tournaments, in a row, on home soil … not looking for the World Cup @USMNT. Usually I can find some positives. I got nothing at this point. 🤷♂️
"It's an embarrassment."

This discussion on learning & teaching really hits on what was so challenging for me as a kid.
I got B+ / A+ grades in Chemistry and Physics … while barely passing earlier “Math” classes **doing the same math** because it seemed pointless.
So fun to hang out on the field and celebrate our @SwitchbacksFC winning the @USLChampionship … also so fun for my little goalie to meet the big one 🤣 @chris_herreragk
And to cap off a great soccer ⚽️ day … well done Soccer Dad @JmoSmooth13 and all you @SoundersFC 💙💚
