Currently in the ER with @burlyboomer1 after he cut off the entire side of his right thumb along w/ his nail. He was preparing pork chops and sliced it off neatly. Asking me if I can just bandage it up so he doesn’t miss any of the game. That is his foremost concern. 😆😂

Here are some pieces of information I’ve heard from some people:
- Arbuckle and BV have dealt with a fractured relationship all offseason because of BV’s desire to “coach his coaches” and Arbuckle’s resentment towards any type of criticism. Riley was far better dealing with constructive thoughts than Arbuckle.
- Mateer is “Ben’s Guy” so he has lived(and died) by that all season.
- Arbuckle’s practice schematics are as bad as his play calling. He isn’t/wasn’t efficient which is why things look so disorganized.
- Players like Mateer as a human-being but cannot stand that he’s gotten so many passes while a RB misses one assignment in pass pro then doesn’t play for four more series.
Just some nuggets that have been out there.🤷♂️
Accurate take by @D_Mack13 regarding Mateer and OU Football. “This is what happens when everyone on the team knows they will be held accountable for their play, except for ONE guy - who gets to go out there again and again no matter what” @bwisefitness @burlyboomer1
I asked Jeff to run down to car to get my clear game bag and a bottle of water…. @burlyboomer1 @OU_Football @OU_Athletics #gameday #boomersooner
