15 years ago today, I started my journey as a freelancer. Still proud and happy with that choice. Many clients, people, lessons and personal growth later. ๐
In 2026, itโs uncertain whether I can continue as a freelancer. But today, Iโm celebrating: 15 years of Just PHIT!

I was wrong: there are bad prompts. A prompt that produces undesirable results is easy to call bad. But there's another kind that's harder to spot. blog.mastykarz.nl/i-was-wron

I have created a Free "Claude Code for Developers" course
Many will charge $500 for this course, but it's free!
As someone who uses AI heavily to build production apps, I am the best person to learn this from.
I use AI in my daily work to build production apps that serve thousands to millions of customers worldwide.
I used AI to build my platform (antondevtips) for developers in less than 3 months (alone). It would take a team of 4 a full year to build such a platform without AI.
Based on my surveys and gathering data, most developers find themselves at this stage with AI:
โ One giant session that gets worse the longer it runs
โ Re-explaining your architecture in every new chat
โ The 10th prompt before Claude builds the right thing
โ Claude leaking your secrets without asking
โ Claude writing AI slop code. You spend a lot of time improving quality yourself
My course is a free email course that takes 10 days (1 email each day).
Plan files that survive sessions, machines, and repositories
โ
Have your conventions loaded automatically, every session
โ
Steal my process of building production-ready fullstack apps with Claude
โ
Make Claude respect your security rules and run only allowed commands
โ
Pick the right model at the right effort for each task
โ
Hooks and reviews holding the bar without you watching
โ
Claude writing code, testing and reviewing while you sleep
Each layer sits on the one before it.
Nothing is theory, every lesson ends with one task you run on your own solution.
It's built for .NET developers, and code examples are in C#.
But it will be as useful for any backend (and even frontend developers).
Why trust me?
I am a Microsoft MVP and Software Architect with 13+ years in production .NET.
Each week 25,000+ developers read my newsletter. Hundreds of developers have pushed their careers with my courses.
This course is worth $500. I am giving it away for free!
Seriously, it's one of the best sources to learn how to master AI properly.

Egypt's Coach Hossam Hassan couldn't control himself after full-time:
"I will say what's on my mind regardless of the consequence, this was clearly a rigged match and the whole world saw it"
"And I want to say one more thing, if they want them [Argentina] to win so bad, why call everyone to come and participate?"
Patrick Heemskerk ๐๐ #stopwar retweeted
Incredible Egyptian goal is disallowed because of a foul far away, then same situation a few minutes later and goal for Argentina not disallowed! No VAR, nothing? FIFA again looks like a corrupt joke, playing favorites for stars.
Patrick Heemskerk ๐๐ #stopwar retweeted
VAR reviewing a legitimate goal while Egypt leading 2-0??
This is how they protect Messi & Argentina!! Pure robbery!!

So no VAR for a penalty on this?
But Egypt had a goal wiped away due to a very minor foul a full minute prior.
FIFA is corrupt and thereโs no debate who theyโre favoring (Messi)

Microsoft quietly published 99 ready-made .NET skills for AI Agents.
Most .NET developers have no idea they exist ๐
These are not toy examples
They are official and open-sourced.
And they work across Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.
Quick reminder first.
A skill is a folder of instructions that your AI loads only when a task matches.
You write the recipe once, and it follows your steps every time.
Microsoft ships these in the dotnet/skills repo: 14 plugins, around 95 skills.
A plugin is just a group of related skills.
Here are 5 worth installing today:
๐ญ. ๐ฑ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐-๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ
The optimizing-ef-core-queries skill finds N+1 problems, fixes tracking modes, and removes common EF Core performance traps.
The largest plugin: 22 skills for running, filtering, and migrating tests between frameworks.
Migrates a project from .NET 8 to 10, and turns on nullable reference types.
Creates Web API endpoints and file-upload endpoints in Minimal APIs the right way.
Builds, debugs, and tests MCP servers with the C# SDK.
Installing them in Claude Code takes 4 steps:
antondevtips.com/blog/creatiโฆ
But here is the catch.
These skills know .NET.
But they do not know YOUR project.
They cannot tell where you put your entities, or that you don't use repositories, or that your handlers return Result<T>.
That is the gap your own skills fill.
โ
Microsoft's skills โ general .NET tasks
โ
Your own skills โ your house rules and conventions
Pair them, and Claude (or other AI agent) has both the framework and your style.
In my newest article, I break down the whole system:
โ What a skill is and the building blocks inside one
โ How to write the description so a skill triggers at the right moment
โ How to encode your conventions: rich entities, no repositories, full features
โ Using the Skill Creator to bundle your real code files
โ The complete Microsoft dotnet/skills setup

Have you tried any of Microsoft's .NET skills yet, or is this the first you're hearing of them?

In the next version of Claude Code: subagents run in the background by default, so you can keep talking to Claude while your subagents work
If you want your agent to run in the foreground, just tell Claude
