You know it’s the new @JMUJournalism academic year with the annual trip to @AintreeRaces for our new intake. A good team bonding trip and fascinating behind the scenes tour.
As a student in the north east I saw “that” Kevin Keegan farewell match against Liverpool when he was wisked away by helicopter. As a young @SkySportsNews reporter I followed his Newcastle journey. Always a delight to deal with so much passion and focus. RIP Kevin Keegan.
Honoured to be asked to pick up the mic again and MC @Cricketphotogra book launch @PPCC_Cricket. Lovely words by @thervd. Great to see so many cricket friends on an emotional night reflecting on 20 years of snapping England cricket.

Great work by @JMUJournalism @merseysportlive Masters students during the @lancscricket media day, the chance to interview (the new captain) @jimmy9, always the icing on the cake. It’s become a yearly event for students to gain experience, always grateful to be involved.
Good scheme here to help.

One of the pleasures of my @SkySportsNews career focussing on cricket was dealing with administrators like Hugh. A very sad loss. RIP
Glamorgan County Cricket Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Glamorgan legend, trophy-winning captain and former CEO Hugh Morris MBE.
Our thoughts are with Hugh's family, friends and colleagues at this very difficult time.

Finishing off my leg of the @JMUJournalism London trip with fascinating insights @Telegraph from @oliverbrown_tel and @SarahJMockford. Thanks to one and all for your time amid always busy times.
Always lovely to return to @SkySportsNews with @JMUJournalism. Thank you for having us for such an inspirational visit. Really pleased with way these students handled themselves asking some great questions. #inspirational #sportsjournalism #futuredreams
Let the new @JMUJournalism semester begin. Thanks to @TheJockeyClub @AintreeRaces for the traditional behind the scenes tour for our new Sports Journalism intake.
Very moved by that and what test cricket means. As day in day out football gets set to dominate again, that was true sport played in a brilliant spirit, a cliche “cricket is the winner” but never more appropriate, it didn’t matter who won. This went beyond “come on England”.
Great to be part of the team for @JMUJournalism at Production Futures Live at The Manchester Arena. Meeting youngsters considering media and journalism careers.
Easter break but the @JMUJournalism and @LJMUOutreach work continues, a great chance to return to @SJBLiverpool and @BeckMFL to talk journalism careers. #HigherEducation #inspiration
As a @SportSJA judge always a special privilege to bring along a couple of our @JMUJournalism Masters students to be in the same room as the great and the good. #SJA2024
