BREAKING 🚨 Bipartisan anti-war champions @RoKhanna & @RepThomasMassie will force a Yemen War Powers vote to prevent renewed US direct bombing and to stop US targeting assistance for Saudi regime bombing of Yemen
The US must demand a diplomatic end to Saudi-Yemen conflict!🕊️
Congress never authorized Trump to wage war to defend the Saudi regime
I introduced a Yemen War Powers Resolution (H.Con.Res.124) with @RepThomasMassie to mandate that the US stay out of war in Yemen
Trump must honor the US-Yemen ceasefire and use diplomacy, not war

📍SEATTLE SHOWED UP TO DEMAND AN END TO THE WAR ON IRAN!
Today, community members in Seattle rallied outside Senators @SenatorCantwell and @PattyMurray's offices as part of a nationwide day of action spanning 37 cities, backed by more than 90 organizations demanding an end to the illegal U.S. war on Iran.
END THE WAR ON IRAN!

Americans are in at congressional offices today demanding our representatives & senators cut funding for the Iran War.
100+ organizations
35+ congressional offices
1 message: #PeaceWithIranNOW!
Demonstrators gathered outside @RepJeffries’ office in Brooklyn right now.

Saudi Arabia's war on Yemen has plunged millions into a humanitarian crisis. Instead of ending its involvement, the UK is doubling down.
Read the letter we organised on behalf of ten unions calling on the UK to end military cooperation with the KSA:

Stop the War on Iran! The first of 5 Massachusetts rallies at Congressional offices today, and one of 35 nationwide, was at Rep Stephen Lynch's office in South Boston. We spoke with Lynch staffer Claire Chapman

Americans did NOT vote to have the US military "solve the Yemen conflict"
If neocons like @AllisonMinor_ @CSIS want Trump and Hegseth to again participate militarily in war in Yemen, Congress must authorize it
But Americans DO NOT want to get back into endless war in Yemen!
Replying to @AllisonMinor_
And another reminder - you also cannot solve the Yemen conflict without the Yemen Government being part of negotiations. The trend (in Washington) of viewing this solely as a Saud conflict is a troubling one that ultimately just undermines Yemeni agency

Minor — a hawk former US official who presided over the brutal blockade of Yemeni civilians — claims to be unaware that US bombs/targeting/support is what allows Riyadh to refuse compromise with Sanaa
Americans do NOT want an illegal war for Bonesaw to raise their gas prices!
I'm seeing lots of suggestions that the Yemen conflict could be solved if the Saudis and the Houthis just started talking. I fully agree that a negotiated agreement is the only way out of the current mess, but the issue is not the absence of channels between the parties - it is the absence of a zone of agreement

Saudi Arabia massacred at least 10 Yemenis today, including children.
If you defend Saudi Arabia's actions in Yemen, no matter what you tell yourself, this is what you're defending.

WaPo falsely suggests diplomacy is not an option in Yemen
Sanaa has repeatedly said it prefers a Saudi-Yemen peace deal over escalation (see AP below)
But WaPo only quotes Saudis and others aligned with Riyadh who all want war — it doesn't include any Sanaa/Yemeni perspective

MBS knows that 7 years of war didn't defeat Ansar Allah
Instead, diplomacy successfully paused the war in 2022
MBS seems to have forgotten that & is bombing Yemen again
Yet AA is stronger & Saudi more vulnerable

Yemen does NOT need more US-Saudi-backed weapons and war!
After over a decade of war and economic blockade, it's time for DC and Riyadh to finalize a peace deal with Sanaa
Americans don't support more war in Yemen on behalf of Saudi Arabia and Israel
@SenMarkey is right:
Concerning to see Dem @HouseForeign leader signaling support for 'security assistance' for Yemen (meaning weapons, ammo, intel, etc)
NYT says Yemen's US-backed "government" is "effectively a bunch of armed groups [with] not a whole lot of credibility," based out of Saudi hotels
US-made bombs reportedly add 3 more Yemeni kids to long list of those killed by brutal Saudi despot MBS
Bonesaw — like Bibi — would rather murder kids than do diplomacy to make peace with neighbors
@SenateDems & @SenRandPaul must block 10,000 more bombs

A useful reminder from Dr. @shireen818 al-Adeimi: Yemenis have never tolerated invaders
📌 Under Ottoman & British control, Yemenis rebelled constantly
📌 In the 1960s, Saudi Arabia & Egypt under Nasser backed opposing side in a Yemeni civil war. Both countries learned not to interfere in Yemen's affairs.
🫣 But MBS forgot that lesson.

The deceptive @ForecasterEnten rant against NY Jews buried this inconvenient trend:
38% of US Jews under 35 think Dems are too pro-Israel — they're **to the left of Dems on Israel**
1/3 are "not at all" emotionally attached to Israel
1/5 feel "nothing" in common with Israelis
Saudis "have to make some kind of deal" with Yemen
This is "blowback" for MBS' "insane war"
Sanaa "trying to pay back what has been done to them"
"Wars have long-term consequences"
"If you bomb [Yemen] for over like a decade now, this is going to come home"

Democrats say ending the Iran war will be a top priority if they win Congress. But voters have heard these promises before -- from Biden's promise to restore the Iran deal to Trump's pledge to keep the US out of war.
Voters need more than vague promises, they need an ironclad commitment: a Democratic Congress will use the power of the purse to cut off any and all funding for the war on Iran.
