there’s a YouTuber I used to watch as a kid that I always assumed was sort of vaguely apolitical/chuddy based on the games he played but bro has liked every single one of my posts about intra-leftist/progressive discourse for the past year or so
I do think it’s a little funny that women are so often presumed to be authorities on progressivism broadly when I don’t even think you could comfortably describe the average woman as genuinely feminist
the amount of people who freak the fuck out if you so much as imply that their beliefs may in fact be influenced by the society they are raised in is so pathetic. I know lots of people are slow but the amount of people that aggressively defend their right to remain slow is sad
on the one hand going to work in person and interacting with my coworkers more regularly is definitely objectively good for me, on the other hand oughhhhh

i have large chunks of time missing from my memory but it’s probably because those were just really boring periods where nothing interesting happened. right
there is a little pigeon with its little nest right outside my job and it makes going in to work about 80% more pleasant
the idea that “conservatives engage in disingenuous public debate for propaganda purposes therefore debate can only ever serve conservatives” obviously makes zero sense if you think about it for more than 10 seconds, but it gets repeated by other progressives constantly
why are people feigning offense at Gen Z disregard for 9/11 as though 9/11 jokes haven’t been standard operating procedure for the last 15 years at least
I just realize what the Gen Z and Gen Alpha kids sound like when they are trying to minimize 9/11. They sound jealous.
It’s crazy, but we all have this horrible collective trauma that they don’t have and, since there is nothing those generations love more than claiming to be traumatized, they are upset about it.
I do think it’s really funny that we have to keep having the “it’s impossible to persuade people via kindness and we must be cruel forever” conversation because every time it goes around I end up being kind to someone thus persuading them
decided to revisit Darkest Dungeon 2 recently and while it has certainly improved significantly since I last played I still have to knock like 2 full points off the game for the incredibly tedious method they have for unlocking character skills
