Thrilled to be sponsors of @JunckerLab's Annual Hands-on Workshop for 3D Printing and #Microfluidics for #Bioengineering this May 1-3!
Though we can't be there in person, we have prepared goody bags that encapsulate our 3D printing solution. Wish everyone a productive session!

Instead of buying a diagnostic test, how about you just 3D print it?
🧵We took one step into that direction described in our manuscript in Advanced Materials lead jointly by @VahidKaramZ and Ahmad Sohrabi-Kasani, and @Molly

Thank you @JunckerLab for having us back at your annual workshop!
We’re ecstatic to have met researchers of all fields, share our #ProFluidics285D and show the feasibility of producing complex #microfluidic features with #3Dprinting that hopefully inspired the design challenge!

Very pleased by this cover on our #Elisa Chip: We automate an ELISA without electronics or a computer, but rather by structurally pre-programming capillary flow events.

A fun preprint from the lab: Microfluidics on Stretchable Strings.
We manipulate discrete microdroplets on strings by stretching, gliding and twisting them.
We present fundamental droplet operations: unidirectional transfer, mixing, and copying.

Brain implants are much more rigid than the brain resulting in scarring. A hard problem to solve!
Our solution:
💡Sugar molds for making implants as soft as pudding
💡A hard sugar-coating for handling and inserting them into the brain

Thank you for promoting Science.
Science is the guiding light through this pandemic.
We need more Science, more scientists, and most importantly the cultural ethos of Science.
Science is a means to explain our world and to aask and answer questions, based on facts and reason
Science and research are a public good that we must all protect.
Tonight I spoke on my Motion M-38 to create a Standing Committee on Science and Research which had its first hour of debate. I appreciate all colleagues who spoke! @KateYoungMP @ScottReidCPC @seblemire @CanningsNDP

Let's use all tools available against COVID19, especially the ones that are cheap, easy-to-use and low risk, such as CO2 sensors to assess ventilation 👇
CO2 sensors can be used to alert when ventilation of indoor spaces is necessary, so as to reduce risks of aerosols-based transmissions.
These simple and inexpensive tools can help fight the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in schools.

Why can't we Canada?
Why can't we use the millions of rapid tests about to expire ?
Why can't we deploy them in schools and areas of congregation?
Why can't we get regulatory approval for at-home testing?
Why can't we get at home rapid testing?
Why?
