Western Christians talk about not being under the law. But I’ve seen 4 pastors teaching tithing as law this week…with a double shot of guilt mixed in if you don’t. Tithes were never money. They were God-reproduced things like animals & grain. Give cheerfully without guilt.

When you buy a single family home 🏠, the principal & interest are fixed for 30 years. But the variable costs that will rise forever include: - property taxes - insurance - maintenance - utilities The variable expenses can be more than the fixed. Many Americans are house poor.

Don’t buy a single family right now. Prices to buy and maintain it are too high. The best ways to reduce your housing expense: 1. Live with your parents or a roommate 2. Airbnb an extra room 3. Buy multifamily 4. Downsize (eg. tiny home) 5. Rent when its cheaper than owning

We will use Christ to DEFEND what we believe. …but ignore when Christ he CONTENDS with what we believe. There will never be ONE INTERPRETATION with 8 billion people, but there will always be ONE INTENTION. Let’s get as close as we can. The Bible misused can justify anything.
