My favorite type of tech company is the one making enterprise-level money and basically leaving small/solo developers alone
@Cloudflare is a perfect example.
I’ve built an entire side project around their ecosystem, from emails to backend/database stuff, and I still haven’t even had to add my card.
Even adding video/audio calling to an app can be ridiculously easy and still cost you nothing at small scale.
@posthog is another one.
I use it across web and mobile projects and I still haven’t paid them $1.
More companies need this model:
Make serious money from enterprise.
Let developers build, experiment and grow for free.
Charge us when we actually become expensive 😭
If you know more companies with ridiculously generous free tiers, drop them.
You're right man, it's fast but my experience lately has not been so enjoyable, I find myself always restarting the language servers, extensions keep failing and can't seem to understand why. I'm trying out jetbrains now.

From my personal experience, learning the fundamentals would help you move faster with AI. Every single time i've had to rely on AI to generate code for a feature I have no technical knowledge about, it end up spending longer time (which ends up being the same as writing by hand)
After 3 days of claudemaxxing I've successfully built a home grown openAPI generator for my @adonisframework project that documents itself from the source code and this means 0 decorator usage.
It just scans the controller and automatically generates accurate specs.
If anything, I love that I can repeat an order on @chowdeck

One of the reason why I prefer using component libraries like shadcn, the already address most of these issues and implementations out of the box and just let you focus on other things.

Is there a setup to get things working correctly, it would be surprising if there is because cursor just works right out the box without any configuration.

I now keep a journal of all the bugs I encounter during development for the learning purposes and future reference.
