Former #Pitt star Julius Page never wanted to run a marathon.
Now, he’s doing it to mirror the struggle, discipline and growth he sees in the kids he mentors.
My final piece for @PGSportsNow:

Now that we have the video, did the kid try to cut him out the air? Yes or no?
Here's the video that goes with that picture. Just a crazy sequence from @TNA_Hoops freshman Julius Page Jr.

Y'all go check out a Chartiers Valley basketball game. Word on the street he would have been the 8th man on the squad. Ok, line them up and put your money up.
Credibility is lost when you give a player the task of scoring (1500+), defending (reputation), delivering (did we win?) and nostalgia (dunks, one sleeve, headband, JP1) and I stuck around. This is my daughter dorm. I'm already in the HOF.
🥲
Freshman Julius Page Jr. (are you feeling kind of old??) made his high school debut tonight for defending WPIAL and PIAA Class 1A champion Neighborhood Academy. Wearing dad's old number, Page scored 15 points and threw down this dunk. @JuliusPage
As a fan of Pitt basketball AND former player, I have to do better. What can I do to help get people in the seats? What can I do to have more alum show up? The environment is giving Capel a hard sell. If we wait until they win, doesn't that make us fair weather fans?
Best of 7. I went up 2-0 easy. Started getting tired. 3rd game was a struggle but I won. When I checked it up, LJ had a big smile on his face and pushed up on me. He won the next four. That was the motivation. Yoga next 10 months. Wait until next summer. I was 230 in May.
I don't expect anything less from anyone that spends longer than a night in the state of West Virginia.
