THIS INTERVIEW WITH HISLOP ABOUT ELON MUSK IS SO TYPICAL OF THE LEGACY MEDIA!
THEY KNOW FULL WELL THAT THEY WORK FOR WEALTHY MEDIA MOGULS AND IT'S THEIR JOB TO PUSH THE NARATIVES AND OPINIONS OF THEIR EMPLOYERS/OWNERS. BUT HATE THE FACT THAT MUSK DOESN'T OWN A SINGLE NEWSPAPER OR NEWS CHANNEL, HE SIMPLY PUTS HIS OPINIONS TO HIS VAST 212 MILLION FOLLOWERS EVERY DAY FOR FREE. THE JOURNOS HATE IT THAT HE DOESN'T NEED THEM, YET MUSK REACHES A VASTLY LARGER AUDIENCE THAN ALL THE WESTERN MEDIA COMBINED!

S/C "account for just 0.8% of dwellings in @Edinburgh_cc. Meantime, it maintains, the number of long-term empty properties continues to rise, including in the period after licensing was introduced, with the city remaining a hotspot for empty housing at around 4%" #SaveSC 1/2
Appalled by @elonmusk meddling in UK affairs and allowing misinfo on this platform. Billionaires shouldn't use their platforms to inflame tensions abroad. Stick to rockets and cars, Elon. #StayInYourLane

Great news, shuttle buses to regularly take guests in & out of the city. I think someone mentioned they're going for the most amount of climate damage in one week for a festival- Guinness Book of Records on standby. Silence from @scottishgreens

I doubt this place has fire safety certification never mind legionnaires assessment and other requirements for a license. What are @Edinburgh_CC and @scotgov doing to help people who are being ripped off like this? @SaveSCScotland

Budget decisions have consequences.
The SNP’s decision to cut the housing budget by a quarter has led to this mess 👇

Edi council stop fucking about persecuting the tiny inconsequential STL sector, get building and renovating empty homes @Edinburgh_CC @BBCScotlandNews @STVNews @_KateForbes @SaveSCScotland bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0020x…?

Far easier to steal homes from legitimate and vital tourism / hospitality businesses than it is to deal with the hundreds of thousands of empty homes.
God forbid build new homes to cater for the ever increasing populations.

STL licensing is a highly damaging law that has decimated B&Bs and Self Catering across Scotland.
Thousands of businesses closed, unlicensed home swapping illegal, and now a booming black market.
Perhaps now @thesnp and @_KateForbes will act to remedy.

Take it in. The first female chancellor. The first housing secretary who's actually lived in social housing. The first education secretary who was on free school meals. An energy secretary who actually believes in aggressively fighting climate change. Not a bad afternoon.

STL licensing summarises why @thesnp lost. Legislation dreamed up by the green party, badly drafted by the snp, then business feedback ignored for 7 years, then thousands of businesses closed.. and now still no recognition of the complete disaster or plan to remedy.

The Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee meets tomorrow to discuss minor changes to STL Licensing... as sector shutdown continues.
@theSNP demonstrating a lack of competence and capability in running our economy.
