Some of Europe’s highest energy costs expected in Britain this winter.
Since privatisation UK gas storage capacity reduced to about 8 - 12 days, EU has 80 -120 days.
UK is net importer of electricity.
Wars, Privatisation and profiteering take toll.

Sainsbury's has posted an annual profit of £1.02bn.
It current has 10,000 young people working for free, paid by you.
With £1.02bn it could hire 105,905 people aged 18-20 for 16 hours a week all year.
Why not MAKE the scumbags hire instead of giving them free workers?

If Palestinians took their children to the motorways and roads to block aid trucks and food to reach Israelis, Palestinians would be painted as far worse than the Nazis by every mainstream media outlet and politician.
Haven’t seen a single story about this today. Not one.
Learn some real history.
Gaza has not been "a mess for centuries". Historically it has been often been one of the richest ports in the East Mediterranean, a fertile centre of wine growing & rich from the export of frankincense and the perfumes of Arabia.
If you'd like to learn real history of Gaza, check out @EmpirePodUK 11-part series, episode 291-301

Surreal to hear Energy Secretary try and say this is a "pragmatic decision."
It will do nothing to lower bills.
It will do lots for the profits of the oil & gas companies.
And will continue us further down the path of floods and wildfires.
Disastrous decision from Labour.
On going ahead with Jackdaw:
"@ZackPolanski.. says this is a betrayal of all of our futures.. do you really think this is the right thing to do?"
@Miatsf: "Well look I do.. we have seen that climate change is here.. heat waves, wild fires, drought.. its a pragmatic decision"
Its time media explained the background and funding of so called expert contributors.

Posh-boy millionaire Nigel Farage’s latest excuse is that most working-class men are racist and misogynistic, sniff women’s chairs, would sexually assault female colleagues and make disgusting remarks about their own daughters, such as: “Fuck me, if she was my daughter, it would still be bath night on a Thursday. I’ll wash you properly this time.”
The white working-class friends I grew up with, from primary and secondary school to college and university, are not nonces or bigots.
Farage doesn’t get to smear an entire class of people to excuse the disgusting behaviour of Reform councillors and activists.

“We were willing to be kind, generous, and even agreed to share the land,” says this Israeli diplomat to me.
A reminder that at partition, in 1947, Jews owned 7% of the land. This guy says they were willing to “share” the 93% that wasn’t even theirs.
There is a word for that.
We were willing to be kind, generous, and even agreed to share the land. But apparently, our willingness to compromise made you mistake our goodwill for weakness - and believe that the land was yours to claim.
Let me be clear: it is not. It never was. And it never will be.
The Land of Israel is the historic homeland of the Jewish people. Our willingness to share it does not erase our history, diminish our rights, or make anyone else its owner.

Won’t lower energy bills.
Won’t boost energy security
And creates just 27 jobs.
Compared to all the benefits of investing in renewables and insulating our homes.

This is big.
The UK’s National Security Advisor had nothing to do with banning Palestine Action as terrorists.
Even though the question of terrorism is at the core of his job.
So who did push the proscription of Palestine Action?
The walls are closing in.

Thames Water is borrowing £2.4bn at 10% interest so it can keep funding dividends, even though bosses know it won't be able to repay the money when the company goes tits up. This is corrupt and the government should make it clear that taxpayers won't pick up the tab.

The total conflation of Israel and Jewish people has been quite something to watch.
People have made up their minds about Israel's murderous crimes.
To thereby conflate opposing those crimes with hating Jewish people is so obviously driving antisemitism.
Beyond irresponsible!
.@ZackPolanski has to explain that conflating Jews with the state of Israel (like the PM did last week) is antisemitic and is making British Jews less safe.

Hi @Skynews - there is not a curfew "In Paris". There is a curfew in two discrete areas of Paris - La Place de la Republique, and roads around Les Halles. (The equivalent would be Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden). The rest of the city has no curfew.

Cheer up the nation. Nationalise it now. Not a penny compensation.
