POOR PEOPLE, OPEN YOUR EYES AND WAKE UP! 😭 The marchers leave their homes on foot, walk kilometres under the scorching sun, sweat for hours and risk their lives protesting for a cause. Meanwhile, the leader arrives later in a R3 million Land Rover, with air conditioning doing overtime! 😂 When the marchers get hungry, they resort to looting shops for food. When the leader gets hungry, it's Nando's, a comfortable seat and a meal served without having to break a sweat! The poor are on the streets carrying placards, facing police and fighting battles, while the people leading them are enjoying the very comfort their followers are struggling to afford. And tomorrow, the same struggling people will be told to come out again, chant louder, throw stones and sacrifice even more for a cause whose benefits they may never see. There is nothing wrong with protesting for your rights, but please, ask yourself: Who is really benefiting from your sacrifice? Are you fighting for your future, or are you being used to protect someone else's interests? Never allow poverty to make you a foot soldier in somebody else's luxury lifestyle. Open your eyes, ask difficult questions and demand accountability. Because at the end of the day, when the cameras are gone, the politicians have returned to their mansions and the Land Rovers have driven away, you are the one who must go back home and face the same hunger you marched against.
