Looking back on my bingo chart I'm trying to think of how much has changed since last year, and surprisingly all of these are still true. The most interesting thing is that I STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND MY OWN ART STYLE.

I dunno when I was young I thought Rei was the best waifu. I grew up and realized Asuka was canon. Then I cranked it a bit between Misato, Ritsuko, and Maya. Now Mana Kirishima lives rent free in my head as I watch the waifu wars with low cortisol.

I did Irene requests in 2025 cause I was bored and needed followers. I'm also starting to run out of things to say about my old art so I'm just gonna spew some art philosophy. For instance: One of the core reasons I do it is because someone else might do it wrong.

Here is a comparison by the way. I think I did a lot better this time around.

Looking back, I don't like Akechi, I don't like his $30 haircut, and I don't like his Made in China preppy attitude. Which actually means ATLUS did a good job. When I first put this on some people didn't know what Bambi is, which bewilders me.

I enjoyed Desert Rose overall. But after a while, it became apparent that the guy just wanted to draw hot women shooting guns. There's barely any character, and definitely no development. That's great and all but I usually demand more from my waifus.

I'm updating my Patreon by posting ALL my art on the site, but I probably flooded some poor guy's email with 200 notifications. He unsubbed once he found out LMAO that's fair. Shout out to my guy who paid $1 to me for like 20 months I appreciate it. I'm also sorry.

It only took about 5 years for me to realize that I could use the blend brush to make skin look smooth and professional. But as you can see on this Mai piece, even if I knew this 8 years earlier, I still wouldn't have made anything good because I didn't master the fundamentals.
