America is not a nation of immigrants. It is a nation of settlers, created by a distinct people for a distinct people. We know this because the Founders wrote it into our founding documents: the purpose of the United States is to “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”
I strongly disagree with the push for a constitutional amendment to bar foreign-born legislators. foxnews.com/politics/mace-ta… While I have suggested the possible tinyurl.com/f86u4tce, I cannot think of anything more antithetical to our founding than barring foreign-born citizens from Congress. As a nation of immigrants, it is a reaffirmation of our heritage to have these citizens serve in government...

In ruminating on today’s tragedy, I was thinking about ways to honor Greg Biffle’s legacy. It seems to me that an appropriate way to do so could be the establishment of a top-tier award for the Cup driver who best exemplifies Biffle’s humanitarian and charitable legacy.
I think there might be some kind of sponsor-driven award now, but I’m talking about something on the level of MLB’s Roberto Clemente Award.
It appears that Greg’s heroic actions during Hurricane Helene will make up just as big of a part of his legacy as his racing, so the establishment of the Greg Biffle Award would be a wonderful way to permanently honor him. #NASCAR

I’m sure there’s 1,000,000 other posts out there but it cannot be stated how vital Greg Biffle was in organizing the western NC Helene relief effort which was among one of the largest civilian humanitarian missions ever on American soil.
The world didn’t just lose a NASCAR great today. The world lost a great man and great family that selflessly stepped up and used their resources for the greater good to help total strangers during their greatest time of need.
Rest in peace.
