Nvidia CEO: doing great work is not about joy and happiness every day.
Doing great work is not always easy, it is often very hard work, over a long period of time.
Great work is about loving what you do and resilience.

“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.”
- Victor Hugo
Victor Hugo (1802–1885) was a French poet, novelist, and playwright who became one of the defining figures of French Romanticism. Born in Besançon into a military family, he displayed remarkable literary talent from a young age. His early poetry and plays helped establish him as a leading voice in the Romantic movement, which challenged traditional literary conventions and rigid social expectations.
Hugo became famous for powerful, emotionally rich stories that combined deeply personal struggles with sweeping social and historical themes. His most celebrated works include Les Misérables and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, along with an extensive collection of poetry. Throughout his writing, he repeatedly examined poverty, injustice, redemption, revolution, and compassion for society’s most vulnerable and rejected people.
Beyond literature, Hugo was deeply involved in the political struggles of his era. His opposition to Napoleon III led to nearly two decades of exile, during which he continued writing and advocating for republican government and human rights. Today, Hugo is remembered as one of the most influential writers in French literature, and his works continue to be read, performed, and adapted throughout the world.
