New project finished: modular Kill Team catacombs. We have a 22"x30" board and a series of 5"x5" and 10"x10" hallways to fill it in a dizzying number of patterns.

This guy is redefining Japanese society in terms of societal introversion, and suddenly so much makes sense.
Western documentaries love to explain Japanese quality as "monozukuri," a sacred spiritual quest for absolute perfection.
It is not a spiritual quest.
We do it right the first time because doing it twice means talking to you twice.
If the bolt is loose, you have to call customer service. A technician has to visit your house. An apology must be negotiated. Forms must be stamped. Awkward eye contact must occur.
That entire nightmare can be prevented by spending four extra seconds tightening the bolt correctly on Tuesday morning.
Japanese craftsmanship is not divine devotion.

🚨BREAKING: The Trump Administration has invoked the long-unenforced Immigration Act of 1882 to prohibit entry into the United States of “any convict, lunatic, idiot, or any person unable to take care of himself or herself without becoming a public charge.”
Ultimately, this will allow the Trump Administration to deny green cards to immigrants who are likely to use federal welfare, food stamps, or Medicaid, and to revoke the green cards of immigrants who are currently using these programs.
The new rule is set to take effect Friday, September 18.
As a result, 5.6 million immigrants are expected to lose access to those benefits, and American taxpayers are expected to save $13 billion per year.

While I like the story and action of Fits Contact, this is correct. The Borg were far more unique and menacing as a leaderless, instinctive horde.
Dork opinion: FIRST CONTACT kinda ruined the Borg. Part of what made them so alien is they had no individual personality. No unique, singular mind driving them forward. They were a mechanized, highly technological hive civilization, yes. But this didn't necessitate a "queen bee" to run it all. They were scarier *because* there wasn't a queen bee. Eliminate a single Borg cube, or a million Borg cubes, it wouldn't matter. The hive would keep growing. Keep absorbing other species and civilizations into itself. And for what?
