Kaspa covenant 'DoorDash' demo: order food, the payment locks at checkout, and the dasher's scan at the door pays restaurant, dasher, and taxes in one transaction. No middleman.

Tic-tac-toe is live on Kaspa testnet: the first vprog, a verifiable program with real execution and real settlement, running since yesterday.
You can play it here: vprogs-tt.izio.fr/
(Requires private key and some testnet funds)
We still need to review and merge a stack of PRs, however this is already a working POC. UI/UX was never a priority; the frontend can be enhanced or built separately
I'm gonna work on mdBook covering the parts of the system I consider meaningful and a workshop on vprogs and building apps on top
For Devs: this is the invitation. Play the game, read the code, build your own vprog.

**Open Letter to Vlad Tenev**
CEO, Robinhood @RobinhoodCrypto
Vlad,

Robinhood already lists plenty of coins that are narrative first and infrastructure second. Kaspa is the opposite. It’s time to list $KAS
$Kaspa is the people’s coin. Fair launched. Proof of work. No premine. No VC allocation. No insider float hanging over retail. Every coin was mined. That alone should matter to a platform that built its brand on giving regular people access.
The tech is not a slogan. BlockDAG and GHOSTDAG let the network produce blocks in parallel instead of waiting in a single-file line.
Crescendo took it to 10 blocks per second. Toccata went live on mainnet June 30, 2026 and added native L1 covenants and on-chain ZK proof verification. Payments were already fast and cheap.
Programmability is now on the base layer without turning the chain into another account-model copy.
That combination of speed, PoW security, decentralization, and now real L1 programmability is rare. Most “fast” chains trade away one of those. Kaspa doesn’t.
Robinhood’s own product direction makes the listing more obvious, not less. You’re building Robinhood Chain for tokenized stocks and you already list speculative names because retail wants them. Kaspa sits in a better spot than most of those listings: real throughput, real security model, growing builder activity, and a community that actually holds instead of rotating every week.
Listing $KAS does three things for you:
1. Gives your users a high-throughput PoW asset that isn’t Bitcoin or a Bitcoin fork with extra branding.
2. Puts Robinhood in front of a community that has been asking for this listing for a long time and will actually use the product.
3. Aligns with the access story better than another meme with no base-layer reason to exist.
I’m not asking you to shill it. I’m asking your listings team to do the work. Look at the launch history, the hashrate, the post-Toccata capability set, and the holder distribution. Then decide on the merits.
Kaspa is the people’s coin. It’s time.
Sincerely,
The Kaspa Community

$KAS is the most important financial revolution of our lifetime because it delivered a profound technological leap through an absolute fair launch.
The modern crypto ecosystem is heavily dominated by massive venture capital allocations and hidden premines that constantly extract value from everyday participants.
#Kaspa completely dismantled this predatory model by launching with zero founder tokens and absolutely no initial coin offerings. Every single coin in existence traces cryptographically back to an empty genesis block and was mined entirely in the open by the public.
This is the pure uncompromised Satoshi vision executing flawlessly on the fastest Proof of Work architecture ever created. By removing centralized insiders the network guarantees a foundation that is completely immune to corporate capture. This grassroots distribution makes the protocol the ultimate hard money built to absorb massive global liquidity without a single bottleneck.
The most brilliant crypto in existence belongs entirely to the people securing it.
A lot of people think what makes Kaspa unique is the technology.
But the technology is really the consequence of a deeper philosophical difference.
Most crypto projects ask: How can we maximize performance without sacrificing decentralization?
Kaspa asks: How can we maximize decentralization without sacrificing performance?
That slight inversion of priorities changes everything.
It changes what the system optimizes for, which tradeoffs are acceptable, and ultimately what kind of threat model matters.
Kaspa and in particular the upcoming DAGKnight fork are built around the idea that a decentralized monetary network should remain resilient even under extreme failure scenarios like global infrastructure disruption, war, or other large-scale breakdowns.
Because fast digital coordination should not force people to choose between trusting a small group of node operators over a small group of banks.
For many applications, that distinction may not matter.
But for the applications where credible neutrality, censorship resistance, and resilience matter most, that ideological edge is the product.
Kaspa does not merely compete at the technological level.
It competes at the philosophical level and the technology is just the downstream consequence of following that philosophy to the end.

Kaspa launched with mining open to the public. There was no premine, presale or insider allocation.
Every KAS entered circulation through proof of work.

Finally, Silverscript v1 is out [Link in the reply]. This completes the journey we started eight months ago with Toccata — it's finally possible to write human- (and AI-) readable smart contracts on Kaspa.
This language started simply as "CashScript with loops", but eventually grew into a full-fledged smart contract language capable of expressing complex, stateful contracts. It's always fun to look back at the first token mechanism @IzioDev and I worked on using raw opcodes, which took thousands of lines of code, and see the same thing implemented in just 60 easy-to-read lines of Silverscript.
I'm excited to explore the possibilities of UTXO programmability together with the Kaspa community, and this is only the beginning - Silverscript will evolve, Argent will add higher layers of abstractions, and I'm sure more people will find their own way of extending this new ecosystem.

Same KAS hashrate, different output over time?
That can happen. Kaspa’s emission schedule reduces block rewards smoothly each month, while network hashrate and difficulty can also change. Mining output is dynamic, not fixed.

WSX News 🚨: Kaspa is taking a different approach to Proof of Work economics by avoiding traditional halving events and instead reducing block emissions through a gradual monthly schedule.
Unlike networks that periodically cut mining rewards in half, Kaspa's smoother emission curve is designed to prevent sudden revenue shocks for miners while also reducing the impact of scheduled supply events on the market.
Around 96% of the network's 28.7 billion $KAS supply has already been mined, meaning the remaining issuance represents only a relatively small portion of the total supply.
The emission model, designed by @hashdag, could give Kaspa a more predictable supply trajectory and sets the project apart from the conventional halving-driven model used by many Proof of Work blockchains.
