One thing I've always been aware of, but it became very real to me last week with the death of my niece, is that you never know when life will end. You can do everything possible to be safe, and then a freak accident can take it all away. Plan ahead, but also enjoy here and now too.

Yesterday I woke up to a phone call that my niece Kara was killed by a falling tree from storms that came through early yesterday morning while camping at the lake. She was 18, just five days away from high school graduation. My wife's entire family is devastated. I can't even imagine losing a child like this. I wouldn't normally post family related stuff on here, but I don't want them to even think about the costs related to this while they process what happened, so if anyone feels generous or just wants to give $5, a friend of theirs set up a gofundme: gofundme.com/f/stand-with-ka…

Tesla mobile service is great, but for things that mobile service can't do, it's an awful experience to have to take a PTO day off work (because service centers are only open M-F) and drive 2-3 hours each way for an appointment, and even worse when the service center doesn't communicate well and can't get to your car the same day and says they don't have loaners. Please focus on building more service centers to fill in the gaps for everyone who doesn't live near one.
