Strong damaging winds possible today! It will be a warm and breezy morning followed by a line of strong/severe thunderstorms this afternoon. Winds of 40-60 mph will be common with some areas exceeding 60 mph. Over the northeast plains, winds to 70-80 mph will be possible. #COwx
ALT A large portion of the northeast plains of Colorado are under a slight risk of severe weather today which is the 2nd highest category out of 5. Far northeast Colorado is under an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms (3rd highest of 5). The primary threat is strong wind gusts exceeding 60 mph tomorrow afternoon.
