I have never seen any other player in the competition treated like this. Be it by his own club, their fans, the media or the chairman of the AFL commission. The way that Nick Daicos is coddled by everyone making sure his feelings aren’t hurt for not winning an award is remarkable. Matt Rowell and Darcy Cameron had phenomenal years, hence why they won their respective awards. Can we stop making it all about Nick Daicos? Nick himself has been graceful and shown humility during all of this (of course he was slightly dirty for not winning a Brownlow). But it is simply laughable the outcry / babying around a very very good footballer not winning an award or two.
