After receiving multiple requests, I have created a solo hammered dulcimer version of "Desire for Departure" that will appear on my upcoming album. Have you considered hammered dulcimer for your next project? My studio is ready. JoshuaMessick.com

It was an incredible honor to record hammered dulcimer for #Frieren and spend time with @realevancall . He is one of the great anime composers of this generation, and an exceptionally kind person.

I’m beyond excited to share that my new album, Wonderscape, will officially be available on all platforms starting October 11! You can listen to previews and pre-order the CD version here: bit.ly/4ehX3VE. This release holds a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait for you to experience it. Your unwavering support continues to inspire me, and I feel truly blessed to keep creating new music for you.

It was an honor to participate on this soundtrack. Thank you, e.hillman and @A44games !

music.apple.com/us/playlist/… I am thrilled to announce my involvement on the soundtrack for @PlayFlintlock "Flintlock: The Siege of the Dawn" by e.hillman. I am featured on six tracks and provide ambient textures on several others. This collaboration has been a transformative journey, expanding my musical horizons and redefining my approach to the hammered dulcimer. Working with Eric Hillman (e.hillman) has been a masterclass in creativity, enabling me to explore every extended technique I could imagine (pluck, mute, bend, bow, rolls, dampers, etc.). I thoroughly enjoyed working on this soundtrack and hope you enjoy the music. The first three tracks of the playlist consist of layers of hammered dulcimers. Some of these sounds may not be instantly recognizable as the hammered dulcimer, but they're all organic. The last three tracks feature ambient instrumental accompaniment by e.hillman. Thank you, Eric and @A44games , for this fantastic opportunity.

Over the weekend, I had a truly remarkable experience. I was honored to join Denver Brass for three St. Patrick's Day concerts at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts, where we performed for approximately 1,800 people. Creating music alongside some of Colorado's finest musicians was an absolute thrill.

Last weekend, I was honored to play music for the Haggai International Gala. On the first night, I played at the Delta Sky Club in Truist Field, the home stadium of the Atlanta Braves baseball team. I had to transport my dulcimer through the stadium, and as a huge baseball fan, I couldn't resist setting up and playing my dulcimer for five minutes. The second evening's event was held at the Coca-Cola Roxy Theater, which was absolutely stunning!

Thanks for the amazing feedback about my new single, "Wonderscape." I've done my best to read every comment and feel very grateful. Your support is sincerely appreciated.

"Wonderscape" is an original composition from my upcoming 2024 album. Download/stream: bit.ly/Wonderscape - I imagine Wonderscape as an enchanting place filled with wonders and beauty, like a magical or dreamlike landscape. Nature inspires me to create music, and I'm in awe of the beauty in this world. "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork." "Starlit Odyssey" is a blast to play and will appear on my upcoming album. I crafted the outline of this East-West composition after a visit to India. Over the years, it has transformed into a blur of musical genres with more melodic themes and rhythmic variations. Please comment and share! #HammeredDulcimer
