Callum Osmand: "I attended pretty much every single home game that I could go to so I was a fan for almost eight months. You sort of understand the expectations and what people want and what they want to see.
"When I play I try to do as much as I can to be attacking-minded and go and make stuff happen. I feel like you sort of feel it when you do something well, the crowd, you feel it lift you as well. I like that feeling so that's what I try and strive for.
"When you're a player it's hard to be a fan of football because you're so into it yourself. You have so much to focus on. But when I couldn't play, I sort of was a fan for that time and I was understanding different sides to the game."

Shaun Maloney: "If they came and watched us each day, Martin leads everything. Recruitment, team selection, tactical.
"He observes the majority of training, but when there's something that he wants to put across to the players, he steps in. How he works is pretty much exactly how it was in the early 2000s.
"He's there every day or 99 per cent of the days Martin's there. I think what's slightly different is how we train now is different to how the team trained in the early 2000s.
"There's lots of things going on at training. You've got three coaches there, so there can be parts of the session being done on one pitch.
"There could be parts of the team being worked on another and Martin will decide which one he wants to go to. Sometimes he goes to all of them throughout the session.
"Sometimes he'll stay on one if that's something he thinks is really important. He's the manager, so when the manager's there, I'd imagine the intensity does go up."

Callum Osmand’s watched clips of Shaun Maloney as he learns left wing. He’s been texting Daizen Maeda & wants to replicate the Japanese too.
Also discussed Matt O'Riley & Moussa Dembele + attending #Celtic games as a fan when injured.

Always insightful hearing from Shaun Maloney. Ahead of Celta, he discussed his long-term future, where #Celtic must ‘aspire to’ in Europe & the ‘incorrect’ theory he has as much power over recruitment, tactics & team selection as MON.

Shaun Maloney on #Celtic press duties ahead of tomorrow night’s game vs Celta Vigo. Martin O’Neill dealing with a personal matter.
Jota: "Family, I think that's the foundation of everything. And having them day by day next to me and knowing that no matter what, they will always be there – like when I go home – I think it's the best feeling someone can have.
"I had mine every day waiting for me to come home. And once I know they're safe, I know that, OK, this is already a very good thing because in the end, everyone wants to have a healthy family and someone that you can build a life on.
"I'm no different from anyone, even though I'm a footballer obviously, but that was always my preoccupation. Like, 'Okay, I'm not in the best position at the moment because I'm injured, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop living my life'.
"There are more things in life from football. And I had to rewire again to get that."

🗣️ "I've met some demons and I've had some good talks with them."
Fascinating chat with Jota after his #Celtic return on what kept him motivated, returning to prior levels, and realising there’s more to life than just football.

Y/day felt cathartic. O'Neill wasn’t drawn on talk of a statement win but you can't overlook its importance. Jota leaving Altena on the deck encapsulated the game: #Celtic at their flamboyant, thralling best and Hearts broken.

Martin O’Neill: “Obviously, the team as a whole are delighted in there. Individually, I think they should be really pleased.
“I thought Tierney was exceptional for us today and Colby is improving all the time.
“Big Dane did well and obviously I've got a great deal of time for Scales. But that's not to say that the players in front of them didn't play well. Mika Baur was great.
“And, yeah, who am I missing? Honestly, they were really good.
“But I'm particularly pleased because Colby was up against a really decent player as well today.
“And his improvement in a year has been really nice to see.”
Martin O’Neill reveals Callum Osmand came off with a hamstring problem at HT for #Celtic today. Says it was ‘precautionary’. Yang still one or two weeks away.
A day few will forget at Parkhead. Seven goals, and countless outstanding individual performances. Starting front three were exceptional, with Baur + Nygren both hugely effective in midfield. Jota flamboyant as ever when he came on. #Celtic now eight clear of Hearts and four ahead of Rangers.
Still to get his sought-after goal but excellent work from Kasper Hogh there to set up Benjamin Nygren for #Celtic's seventh of the day.
Haissem Hassan earns a standing ovation as he comes off with 20 minutes to go. Didn't score or assist, but thought it was by far one of his best displays in a #Celtic shirt.
Camilo Duran fully deserved that goal for his efforts this afternoon. Kieran Tierney's role in it can't be understated – he's been superb for #Celtic as well.
Can't remember the last time #Celtic scored five first-half goals. They've blown Hearts away here. Tremendous work from Mika Baur just before the break.
Callum Osmand has been so good on the left flank for #Celtic and he thoroughly deserved that brace for his efforts. Hard to forget this is only his first start in senior football. A clinical opening 40 minutes from Martin O'Neill's side.
Just six minutes on the clock and Kieran Tierney puts #Celtic in front against Hearts – great delivery from Mika Baur and a crucial flick on by Liam Scales. Hearts probably started the better side in truth.
Jordan Lotomba not in the #Celtic squad today but was out on the pitch for at least a good 15 minutes before the warm-up being put through his paces by a fitness coach.
