This is not the takeaway I would have from this news and we don’t have to frame him playing a contact sport while sleep deprived like this. Football’s reliance on this gamer/warrior narrative is really insidious.
This is not a feel-good story about Jalen Hurts’ commitment to football… It’s a complete organizational failure that seemingly put a player’s life at risk…
Whole medical team needs to go. Wtf…
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.

From what I have seen, the Abdul El-Sayed and Tommy clip has gotten over 50 million views across Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. It might be the most viral clip we have of the 2026 midterms.
If Carlie Irsay-Gordon doesn’t fire Chris Ballard and Shane Steichen TONIGHT, I am done watching the Colts this season. What a pathetic franchise. Grow a spine, or sell the team. #Colts #FireBallard #FireSteichen #ForTheShoe

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.
Nick Marsh… You’ve gotta be shitting me, man. Absolutely blew it on a wide-open game-winner. I’m not even an IU fan, and I’m sick to my stomach…

I’ve seen a lot of low shit, but this is one of the more cynical and craven feigned outrages I’ve ever witnessed. She believes none of this, pure theater and exploitation. Beyond gross
UPDATE: I’m glad the DSA listened and responded to my call to condemn these threats and directly refute responsibility. We need to see this more quickly, clearly, and often from the DSA. Extremism cannot be encouraged, tolerated, or even ignored, especially when public servants and their staff are targeted.

NYT: Susan Collins Says Jackson’s “Oh, Shut Up” Comment Reflects How He Treats Women
“I was struck by how reflexive the response, ‘Oh, shut up’ was,” Susan Collins, the longest-serving Republican woman in Senate history, told Fox News on Friday, adding that “the fact that it seemed like such an automatic, quick reply was very telling.”
She said the exchange brought to mind what she described as the “reputation” that Troy Jackson, a former State Senate president, had when he was a state lawmaker, “particularly when he’s dealing with women with whom he disagrees.”

Today, I received a threatening letter at my Grand Rapids, Michigan office that contained unidentified white powder. The letter, which claimed to be from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), made a direct and specific reference to an impending “civil war” beginning after the election. The letter sent to my office is similar to those received at other congressional offices across the country. The DSA has not yet addressed the attacks, either to condemn them or to take or deny responsibility. The Grand Rapids Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) responded immediately.
Threats and extremism are not signs of strength—they are signs of a weak mind and weak character. Political intimidation has no place in our democracy, and leaders must condemn it, not excuse it. I’ll keep standing up to bullies on the right and the left.

Absolutely fucking shameless and deranged to respond to the most obvious right-wing false flag in the world by blaming DSA, my god
