Sorry @Yankees fans. He really should’ve got the can, but he’s getting the same courtesy that Joe Girardi did.

💯
These next two weeks are the weeks that matter.
If I am less sanguine than others about the Democratic sweep it may be because 10 years ago this week a poll from WNYT and Survey USA had me up 45/42 over John Faso.
This is not to say that 2016 is 2026, or that it cannot break another way entirely, but that the future has not yet been written.
One of the rare times when I wish @jdvance would pay a visit. 😷😹
Like most “born agains,” @realDonaldTrump speaks in tongue, and gives off creepy Kenneth Copeland vibes.
There’s a lot to be said for quitting your lease and using public transportation. Now we need the public infrastructure to catch up.
BREAKING: A record 21.2% of new-car buyers now pay $1,000 or more a month, up from 19.1% a year ago, per CNBC
69% of them took loans of six years or longer to make it work.
Voters will remember this when they don’t receive their next paycheque. Vote with your wallet folks!

Pre-ordering from @Powells. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
I have a new book coming out in February about how people can fight back locally against things like, eg, YouTube or Meta deciding what content you get, and AI tech lords deciding our industrial policy.
Please pre-order! I'll come visit and do a book talk as many places as I can. The goal is building local power.
Seems like the answer here is to increase @FDNY EMS pay. Everyone who provides a life saving service should be paid a living wage.
My office just completed an analysis of FDNY EMS, showing that average response times have increased by 3 min 50 sec for life-threatening medical emergencies and 14 min 49 sec for non-life-threatening emergencies since 2015.
Why are waits getting longer in NYC? Our report points to fewer ambulances in service, growing demand, long hospital turnaround times, traffic—and an EMS workforce struggling with recruitment and retention amid low salaries.
New Yorkers calling 911 in a medical emergency cannot afford to wait longer and longer for help. We need to get more ambulances on the street, strengthen the EMS workforce, and cut the delays that keep crews tied up instead of responding to the next emergency.
It’s my wish that Democrats use whatever political capital they gain in the midterms to lower costs first. There will be plenty of time to prosecute Trump and his enablers because the evilest MFers tend to live much longer lives than the rest of us.
ON UCHICAGO CAMPUS: U.S. Senator from Michigan Elissa Slotkin hopes planned political prosecutions of republican leaders will scare young conservatives from getting involved in politics.

Will quickly be dethroned by Burbank in 2027.

This is the second post I’ve seen on classroom attendance by the @nypost in as many minutes. Guess it’s going to be an incredibly slow news day.
