Fair Winds and Following Seas, Mr. Cullen. If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and look up Peter's "Strong Enough to be Gentle" story about his brother Larry.
Legendary voice actor Peter Cullen, best known as the iconic voice of Optimus Prime in the ‘Transformers’ franchise, has sadly passed away at the age of 85. (via TMZ) 🕊️

🚨 PSA just got hit with a massive class action lawsuit claiming its entire multi-billion-dollar grading empire started with a known FRAUD. Certificate #00000001 - the first card they ever graded - was a secretly trimmed T206 Honus Wagner. THE GRADER KNEW IT WAS ALTERED. PSA’s own rules banned it. They graded it NM-MT 8 anyway, never disclosed it, and never pulled the grade. That same slab later sold for $2.8 million and is still certified. The complaint calls it the blueprint for a $15 BILLION market built on a lie.

This looks so sick... Had never heard of it until right now.
I’m about to buy the “toilet seat” console that has very few good games, on purpose. Why? Not for the games. For the VLM! (Virtual Light Machine) Coded by Jeff Minter of Tempest 2000 fame, it’s IMO — the best music visualizer ever created. Can’t wait to finally own it!

@zcichy if you happen to have a normal Jaguar, I have a transparent shell for it you're welcome to have if you want it. Someone who works at the place that made them using the original molds gave me a leftover one they found while cleaning up the shop.

In case you were wondering why Tesla self-driving is so dangerous, this guy is a senior member of the team developing it. He claims he has no idea how to handle approaching a road that's completely obfuscated by smoke. Hint: the answer is to slow down and proceed with caution, which this Tesla didn't.

After 8 days, 1 no-show supervisor phone call, 1 useless rank-and-file tech support person phone call, and more than 40 emails, @Meta Pro "Support" is asking for my phone number a third time after fabricating three completely different justifications for disabling my account.

They offered three conflicting takes, before admitting: actually, they have no idea because they're prohibited by the "Policy Team" from seeing the details to prevent people from "circumventing" their policies. Whatever the hell that means. This shit is barely coherent.

I was expecting dealing with Meta Pro Support to be bad. But I really have to say, I wasn't expecting it to be "Meta's AI Moderators using my own words to gaslight me by making shit up about my own memories and posts related to the Virginia Tech shooting" bad. Jesus Christ.

On March 27, my Facebook, Instagram, and Threads accounts (all @josephrooks) and everything else linked to them were disabled by Meta without notice, explanation, or any *actually technically functional* path to appeal.

Meta has created support "conditions" that make it impossible for most people to resolve this, and I know a lot of the businesses on the platform depend on these platforms so much more directly than I do.

I'm about to go work on getting a formal demand letter sent to Meta's registered agent as well. Unaccountable AI "moderation" causing stress and harm to their users, including businesses and their clients, is not okay.
