🚨 NEW: Mayor Zohran Mamdani has unveiled a plan to expand New York City’s tree canopy to 30% by 2040.
The plan treats trees as critical infrastructure, cooling heat-vulnerable neighborhoods, cleaning the air, absorbing stormwater and making every borough more livable.
Que lindo conocer a Julieta Venegas en @thelamc ! This Tijuana native Mexican songwriter has Long been one of my favorite crafters of contemporary Latin song. Her interview confirms what comes across in her songs… Honesty, intelligence, humor, pure love, and a certain quirky charisma.! it was great to hear about her unassuming journey from musical explorer in the northern border town to great success, in Mexico City , to author…Muchas Gracias Julieta que padre concerte! 🇲🇽🌸🌺🦋 #LAMC #latinpop #Latinalternativesong #cantaautorasmejicanas
MONSTRUO (Monster) is a powerful condemnation of war by brilliant new Costa Rican artist Alexco. Producing the single&directing the video, I am conscious that CR 🇨🇷, abolished its military in 1948! War = absurd+ unnecessary from this perspective! A Peace Bomb Drops ☮️💣FALL26!

Il riscaldamento della nazionale senegalese. La World Cup, nonostante le divisioni imposte da Trump, continua a celebrare l'identità dei Paesi partecipanti e la voglia di condividerla con gli altri.
Fly like a Cicada. Pop this tune on. Listen close to the end of the song... in a walk in closet in Brooklyn I channeled deep transformative energy and became a Cicada! open.spotify.com/track/4HgaD…

“Come you masters of war.
You that build all the guns.
You that build the death planes.
You that build all the big bombs.
You that hide behind walls.
You that hide behind desks.
I just want you to know I can see through your masks.
Let me ask you one question, Is your money that good?
Will it buy you forgiveness, do you think that it could?
I think you will find, when your death takes its toll, all the money you made, will never buy back your soul.”

🚨JUST IN: A federal judge ordered the restoration of a slavery exhibit at the President’s House in Philadelphia, ruling the federal government acted unlawfully when it removed it last month:
“As if the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell’s 1984 now existed… this Court is now asked to determine whether the federal government has the power it claims to dissemble and disassemble historical truths. It does not,” Judge Rufe wrote.
