Our Lumps Plant is officially open! On October 9, we officially opened our Fluorspar Lumps Plant in Delta, Utah, joined by Federal and State representatives, industry partners, our hardworking teams and local Delta families. It was a proud day for us at ARES Strategic Mining, marking the return of commercial fluorspar production to the U.S. after more than three decades, and an exciting step towards building a fully integrated operation, from the mine to market-ready product. 🏭 On site at the Lumps Plant. We’ve had all hands on deck as we move through the ramp-up production phase, and we’re happy to report the circuit is operating well, and lumps are being produced. Pictured below: 1. The conveyor is running smoothly, moving crushed product through the circuit. 2. Washed and sized material is being transferred cleanly into the next stage of the circuit. 3. The process sump is circulating slurry effectively, keeping the material mixed and moving forward. 4. Lumps coming out of the processing facility. It’s official! ARES has returned fluorspar processing to the USA. Mined ore from the Lost Sheep Mine in Utah is now on trucks and entering the Metallurgical Lumps Plant in Delta - connecting the mine and the plant for the first time. This marks one of the most significant operational milestones in @aressmining history, and we are incredibly proud of the hardworking teams who have helped to get our plant processing operation underway. CEO James Walker explains: “This is the physical supply chain we have spent years building. Over the next week, our engineers and operators will use real Lost Sheep material to fine-tune the plant and understand exactly how the ore behaves through each stage of the process. We can optimize around the material we are actually mining rather than theoretical feed characteristics. Here we go! Plant commissioning is officially underway!! 🎉 @aressmining is thrilled to announce that commissioning of our Metallurgical Lumps Plant officially commenced on July 15th. For the first time, the entire plant is operating as one fully integrated system as we progress through our four-week commissioning program. ⛑️📋As we accelerate operations at America’s only permitted and operating fluorspar mine, more activity naturally brings more eyes on site, and that’s exactly how it should be. We’ve gone from early development to active mining and ore stockpiling, with the Lumps Plant now commissioning and the Flotation construction being accelerated. Along the way, our team on site has grown to roughly three-five times our earlier headcount. More people, more equipment, and more production mean more frequent MSHA inspections - and yes, more routine citations. This isn’t a red flag. 🚩 It’s a clear sign of progress. In every mine ramping up quickly, regulatory interactions increase as inspectors do their important job of overseeing expanding operations. We welcome that oversight. It helps us refine procedures, strengthen training, and keep safety standards high as we scale. The recent entries on the MSHA site reflect this normal phase of growth, and encouragingly for us mostly standard Section 104(a) citations that were addressed promptly. The two reported incidents were non-injury events during development work. Health and safety remains our top priority. We are committed to running a safe, responsible operation and continue working closely with MSHA as partners in this journey. We appreciate genuine interest in our progress. As we move toward first acidspar sales under our DoD contract, our focus stays on measurable milestones: more ore processed, plant performance, and delivering critical domestic supply. .
