Agreed, if he’d posted his review on a private blog or just Letterboxd there’s no issue, but listing it on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a professional platform, has studio agreements in place, and is expected to abide by embargoes becomes an issue. He knows this.

A word to the wise: embargoes only apply to studio screenings. A reviewer, as is the case with Josh, does not have an embargo restriction because he paid to see Clayface on his own time with his own money in a public viewing. Be like Josh. Never be like Mike.

Just to be clear, I am not leaving The Batman Part II. I am profoundly grateful to Steven for coming to my aid during this challenging time to help me finish principal photography. Thank you to all for your concern and well wishes. 🦇

I can’t imagine what Reeves is going through with his family and am wishing them the best. Soderbergh feels like such a wild choice, but a brilliant one nonetheless. He’s versatile, collaborates well, knows how to get great stuff out of actors. This is a solid finisher

Steven Soderbergh is set to direct the remainder of ‘THE BATMAN: PART 2’. Him and Reeves will work together and remain in communication until filming has ended, with Reeves taking over post-production duties when ready. (Source: Deadline)

What if #Hollywood is looking at the WRONG metric to predict #boxoffice legs? I analyzed 107 films and found that rising pre-release enthusiasm can matter more than total buzz. (Shoutout to @RichardLNewby3's #Obsession takes for inspiring this one). greenlightanalytics.com/box-…

Can Pre-Release Buzz Predict a Movie’s Box Office Legs?

Film tracking was invented to help project opening weekend box office outcomes. But can it also help forecast a film's financial legs?

Guess we can talk about it now. I’m only about half way through so don’t have a full review yet, but #CrystalLake is mostly fine so far. It captures the 70s slasher camp-vibes well, but also to its detriment. Linda Cardellini rules, as expected.

Tonally a bit wonky but generally fun. The mystery is engaging enough to make me want to finish but also feels like it could have been tightened up help with the uneven pacing.

A solid—tangible—way to celebrate #IndigenousPeoplesDay is by supporting Native authors/artists. Like say, maybe, picking up this anthology (now in paperback!) that I have a short story in! amzn.to/4AUu3yK
