College Athletes: I’m not in the advice business, but here’s what I can tell you about BOOZE. Context: I didn’t drink in HS, hardly did Fr-So yrs of college. (Also have spent the last 7 years completely sober.) Thread👇 -No one else cares if you drink. -If they do, that says more about them than you. (Thread…) -You won’t have any regrets from not drinking, can’t say the same otherwise. -You might not realize it, probably won’t, but people admire the shit out of people who don’t booze. -You probably won’t notice at first, but your body won’t heal as fast if you’re partying. -Injuries will start to happen from being constantly dehydrated. -This includes torn ligaments, sprains & pulled muscles. -More importantly, you need to learn how to handle life without running to a bottle (an excuse a lot of us use). Last, I’m not telling you how to live your life. (My players can tell you that preaching is not my thing.) But if you find yourself needing to drink or smoke up to get back to “neutral”, talk to someone-honestly a stranger works best for this-and see if it helps. As always, this is a judgement free zone & we check our egos at the door. With Love, SwagnShades
