A flash of orange 🍊
Do any buildings near you boast a beautiful pantile roof?
They're most commonly found in East Central Scotland, the Lothians and Fife! Originally, imported stock from Holland would've landed on the East coast.

A big thanks to the volunteers @Papplewick_PS for showing us their boiler house earlier today. A similar fireproof roof to that at our @SudburyGasworks project so great to see what it might look like when finished! @JBoonArchitects #conservation

Any forestry people out there speculate on how sustainable current Uk consumption of timber framing species such as Larch and Douglas fir is? @andyheald @WoollyMaggot
Lovely
A fine example of vernacular and quit unique.....this #cob building has no stone plinth! A remarkable survivor of ancient construction practices. #Bedfordshire #cobrepairs with thecobspecialist.co.uk

The ones of us that do are only custodians, they'll all change hands in time.
They are a blast to drive, and the public react to them with great affection - at bus stops it is common for people to stick their hands out, even for the old ones!
Would love to own an old @bartonsplc bus. So many great memories.

Hi Stephen. We did make it to Dore Abbey. Something really special about it too. I went many moons ago when I was a @SPAB1877 @wmcft1 in 1999 but it was a bit of a whistle stop tour. Also visited Rowlestone and Kilpeck. Very different
Cheers Sara. It was a great session and speak soon
Great to see @JordanConserv passionately championing craft skills and upholding excellence in our @Conservators_uk accreditation round table. “Be proud of your creative side.”
