One key challenge to science is the tobacco playbook applied to creating doubt about the seriousness of climate change. The "doubt is our product" strategy about tobacco harm started in the 1950s & lasted 30 years & was then transfered to #climateChange.
The fake fact-checker & bot, @Faktantarkast10, is at it again. He's treating the intensity of a heat wave as though it were determined exclusively by the standard deviation of temperatures around the mean. It ain't. #climatebrawl
I lost an uncle to COVID 19 because his dumbass granddaughter infected him after reading crap on the internet. My anecdote is a lot more common than that of antivaxxer @retroamxev
Let's see the #gambling industry profits off addiction; ad industry profits off gullibility; Trump industry profits off stupidity; Wall Street profits off greed. Is he equally angry at them? They all falsify far more than drug makers. At least many #pharmaceuticals are useful.
Last time I checked, sheep are less susceptible to productive SARS-CoV-2 infection than several other mammals. So there was no need to vaccinate them during the epidemic. Unfortunately there's no vaccination to protect TZL from the propaganda he swallowed while stuck at home.
Thanks for pointing that out I detail. Thousands on X either deliberately or naively confuse what bad journalists predicted with what climate scientists actually said.

Your meme is rather stupid. Do better.
No climate scientist ever "predicted" that New York City would be underwater by now.
That's a science-denier misrepresentation about what James Hansen actually said in 1988 in an interview when he was asked to speculate on what the view out the window of his office in NYC would look like in 40 years IF CO2 was doubled. Has CO2 doubled? No. It's been increased by just oiver 50% from burning fossil fuels.
Jonathan Coleman was not a climate scientist. His degree was in journalism. He said a lot of easily refuted nonsense about climate change.
Pretty much ALL of the published predictions by climate scientists from decades ago have already been observed:

Radiation from the radio part of spectrum is not harmful. That from the visible spectrum makes the world beautiful. At 100 mSv of gamma& above, an increased cancer risk becomes detectable in population studies. It damages DNA directly & indirectly through radical production.

Oh, there are so many things the public gets wrong about physics. My (anti)favorite is radiation. They treat it like it's something magically harmful
Like, for example, the way he and others accept the risk of human- caused climate change by doing nothing? #climatechange
Replying to @FranzMann1066
True. One of the strangest things about my job is watching people demand zero risk from technologies while accepting enormous risks from doing nothing.

When your conclusions that climate science is a "hoax" comes first before even looking at all the science & evidence that you desperately avoid, you're just a zealous science denier.😂

How many times every day do we see human caused climate change deniers claim "Climate change is a hoax!"?
There’s over 34,000 cited published research papers from scientists in just the last IPCC AR6 2021 report alone.
There’s not even one “skeptic” paper that has ever successfully refuted the mountains of evidence.

Physics and the Earth's geological record show that CO2 is a major driver of climate change. CO2 levels are the highest they've been since the middle Miocene 14-16 million years ago.
We've increased CO2 atmospheric levels by more than 50% from ~280ppm since the pre-industrial era to 430pmm now.
CO2 levels changed naturally in the Earth’s history over tens of thousands to millions of years, not decades. We’re already seeing the impacts of an increase of global mean temperature of ~1.4C since the pre-industrial era.
The rapid increase is now already intensifying extreme weather events like heatwaves, droughts, and floods, threatening biodiversity, agriculture, and human health.
A better example would be how high concentrations of oxygen can generate reactive oxygen species that damage cells, proteins, DNA & cell membranes. These chemical species are also formed when CCl₄, paraquat(herbicide) & tobacco smoke enter the body.

even 02 is toxic. Acute 02 poisoning occurs at high partial pressures (think deep-sea diving), and chronic at atmospheric pressure when 02 is above 40% for long periods of time.

Mr Antidote: the tobacco analogy is weak for several reasons
1) Tobacco executives knew use of their product was harmful to health. There is no evidence CO2 emitted by fossil fuels is harmful to humans
2) Tobacco was used by a minority of individuals who were addicted. Oil is used by everyone. Oil companies are not committing a crime providing a legal product used by everyone
3) Tobacco executives lied to Congress. The Oil Companies have not
Well, in fact, #hunger for food in the world has been decreasing: from 12.8% in 2000 to the current 7.8%(see FAO). But your kind of global hunger for bullshit has been on the rise.

World Poverty can not be solved. Because feeding hungry people means they will produce exponentially more hungry people not capable to feed themselves.

I posted Kramer because it includes a plain language summary. But, to sum up, they describe empirical evidence of anthropogenic radiative forcing via satellite observation.
David pretended to wonder why people are rude to Shewchuk, a paid propagandist who deliberately lies and doctors charts. Look up @GnatBeGone and one soon finds out from @Ceist8 that deniers like David defend bird brains of a feather. #climatebrawl

Tang was not created for #NASA. So its origin story is as fake as the powder itself. NASA used it later, not as an OJ substitute but to mask the taste of recycled water.

Does he have the very small percentages on who actually holds all those beliefs? Or is this a strawman game recommended by his PR consultants? BTW there are fools who also want energy without wind, solar, geothermal and hydro.

We cannot undo nature's hundreds of millions of years of evolution that created the minority of biochemicals that are harmful. But we can better regulate our own man made compounds, something which Blowhead & Simon don't want to hear.

Some guy in 2024 claimed that mainstream media distorts Trump's image. So I said , "Fine. Where do I get to see what Trump is really like?" He directed me to a YouTube of one of his rallies. I concluded that mainstream media is being kind to that geriatric version of Pinocchio.
