The government have ruled that all wheat flour in the UK will now be fortified with 250mcg synthetic Folic Acid per 100gms flour - regardless of the danger this poses to the general UK population. This needs public awareness, and debate, but is deliberately being obscured.

APPLICATION TO TURN A VICTORIAN TERRACED BUILDING INTO A MOSQUE IN KILBURN A planning application has been submitted to extend and convert the ground floor of 28 Willesden Lane, NW6 7ST for use by Kilburn & Hampstead Masjid. This is a lovely old Victorian three-storey commercial and residential terraced building. The current mosque typically opens at 6am-8pm (10pm during summer) and accommodates 30-40 attendees a day. These numbers might increase significantly at this proposed, extended property. This site is in an established residential neighbourhood, with no dedicated on-site parking. Local residents have objected to a planning application for a mosque nearby which also has no on-site parking, citing issues around congested streets and “roads coming to a virtual standstill on Friday’s.” I am asking you for donations toward out of pocket expenses of £2,000 to resist this application. givesendgo.com/brent-kilburn As usual, none of the money goes to me, but to the costs of fighting this application. Please🔁

"Rape is a spectrum." Those were Q Manivannan's OWN words. The Green MSP also complained about a "demonisation of rape" and talked about "different modes" of consent. Now this person wants to be Rector of the University of St Andrews, the official voice of every student there. Surely there is no universe in which that's acceptable?! There are no lesser rapes and no grades of violation. Every survivor knows that. The Scottish Rape Crisis Alliance had to write an open letter reminding an elected MSP that no woman should ever have to ask herself whether her rape was "serious enough." And rape is not "demonised." It is one of the most devastating crimes a woman can suffer. The only people who should be demonised are the ones who commit it. @JohnCleese, a former Rector himself, is also publicly urging students not to back someone who understates the appalling effects of rape. And no, the insincere apology doesn't wash. It only came after the clip resurfaced and the backlash started, not before. Women in Scotland are sick of being told their safety is negotiable. And they're sick of people like this being handed positions of trust. St Andrews students, there are five other candidates. You don't need to accept this.

Truth. Taxation is theft.
Every time we put petrol into our cars at a fuel station, the government are fleecing us. And it’s not just the fuel duty and VAT at the petrol pump price. £70 of petrol at 197.9p a litre buys just 35.37 litres - a partial fill for many cars. Of that £70, £18.73 is fuel duty and £11.67 is VAT. That is £30.40, or 43%, taken by the government before the engine starts. That £70 itself was already taxed. To have £70 left after 20% income tax and 8% National Insurance, you first earned roughly £97.22. Another £27.22 was taken at source. On this single fill alone, nearly 60% of the money you worked for has already gone to the government. It does not stop there. Most drivers also pay Vehicle Excise Duty of around £200 a year simply for the right to use the road. On top of that, the average comprehensive car insurance premium is roughly £650, of which 12% Insurance Premium Tax - about £78 - goes straight to the government. Add those annual charges and the government extraction of our money continues to escalate with endless stealth taxes. You earn the money. It is taxed. You spend what remains on fuel. It is taxed again. Then you pay again every year just to keep the car legal and insured…which is taxed. For millions who need a vehicle to reach work, drive children to school or live ordinary lives, this is no longer the cost of petrol or the cost of motoring. It is a stacked system of extortionate tax charges that repeatedly takes from the same earnings. Motorists are not merely paying for fuel. They are being systematically fleeced at every stage by the government. The cost of living crisis is also a cost of excessive government taxation crisis. So @andyburnham - if you really want to help cash strapped motorists during the cost of living crisis, drastically cut fuel duty and VAT on petrol and diesel rather than just giving advice to use google maps to find the cheapest local fuel station.

🤡 Ok lets talk about foreign attempts to influence the Brexit vote (apart from Obama telling us we'd be at the "back of the queue" for a trade deal).... It's quite the list don't you think? ▪️ George Soros – Billionaire financier. Predicted sterling could fall by 15–20% or more, making British households poorer. ▪️ Bill Gates – Warned Britain would become significantly less attractive for business, investment and scientific research. ▪️WEF – published warnings that Brexit could cause profound recession, financial instability and falling investment. ▪️ François Hollande – French President. Warned of consequences for British trade & financial services. ▪️Hillary Clinton – US. Publicly backed Remain supporting Obama's position. ▪️ Angela Merkel – German Chancellor. Publicly backed remain. ▪️ Jean-Claude Juncker – European Commission President. Warned Britain not to leave. ▪️Justin Trudeau – Canadian Prime Minister. Warned that Britain would not get easy or automatic trade agreements after Brexit. ▪️ Donald Tusk – European Council President. Warned Brexit could have serious political and economic consequences. ▪️ Enda Kenny – Irish Prime Minister. Warned Brexit could threaten stability in Northern Ireland. ▪️ Shinzo Abe – Japanese Prime Minister. Warned Brexit could threaten Japanese investment and more than 100,000 British jobs. ▪️ Michael Bloomberg – American billionaire, former New York mayor. Supported Remain and warned of economic and employment consequences. ▪️ Li Ka-shing – Hong Kong billionaire. Warned Brexit would damage Britain. ▪️ Wang Jianlin – Chinese billionaire. Warned Brexit could affect Chinese investment in Britain. ▪️ Jamie Dimon – JPMorgan Chase CEO. Warned that thousands of British financial-services jobs could be at risk. ▪️ International Monetary Fund (IMF) – Christine Lagarde warned the economic consequences could range from "pretty bad to very, very bad". ▪️ Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) – Predicted Brexit would leave British households thousands of pounds worse off annually. ▪️ G7 – Formally declared Brexit a serious risk to global economic growth. ▪️ G20 – Identified Britain's possible departure from the EU as a potential shock to the global economy. ▪️ European Commission – Warned Britain would lose existing privileges and face new trade barriers. ▪️ Bono and U2 – Irish musicians. Supported Britain remaining in the EU. ▪️ Liam Neeson – Irish actor. Encouraged eligible Irish voters in Britain to vote Remain. ▪️ Patti Smith – American singer. Supported a public appeal asking Britain to stay. ▪️ Jean-Michel Jarre – French musician. Supported an appeal opposing Brexit. ▪️ Lilian Thuram – French former footballer. Supported an appeal asking Britain to remain. The scale of attempted foreign interference in Brexit was extreme... And in the face of ALL of the opposition, in the face of all the threats to force us to comply... the majority voted Leave anyway 💣

The UK government intends to spaff away £22 billion on carbon capture machines. A massive wealth transfer of taxpayers’ money to major corporations. Plant more trees instead - the most natural, cost effective, long lasting, beautiful carbon capture machine of them all. 🌳

This excellent video from Dominique Frisby is definitely worth a watch. It dispels some myths and provides important historical context. Very surprised to see Germany feature in the Top Ten. This rather destroys the argument for reparations.

Fields do more than grow our food. Farming is the bridge between the beauty of the countryside and nature and the survival of civilisation. We are because we eat. We need a farmer way more than we need any politician. No farmers, no food.

Today I celebrate 59 revolutions around the sun, as they say. I am enjoying a gentle day with my darling of a husband, cosy and warm together at home whilst the weather outside is dreich. So for today I shall try to forget that certain forces wish to destroy my beloved country and that it is being helped along by useful idiots. Instead I will focus on more uplifting things and do some further genealogical research. This week I have mostly been knee-deep in various Wiltshire Parish Registers. This is a bit of an old photo but it’s one of my favourites.

"The original plans were to take the whole village out." Harmondsworth's medieval barn, church, and the pubs, which are centuries old, would all dissappear in one foul swoop. But, even with alterations to the plan, any surviving buildings, like the community itself, would still die. If you wouldn't mind, please repost this clip and/or the original (full length video) attached to help highlight not only this tragic case, but the many others that we've yet to hear about. 📽 @ChelseaDan5 Interviewee: Ivor, the Organ player for Harmondsworth's St Mary's Church. @Britains___Pubs
The Fate of Harmondsworth Village (The proposed runway of Heathrow Airport) In this special episode, we visit the historic village of Harmondsworth, which faces partial demolition, severe noise risks, and community displacement under the proposed third runway expansion of Heathrow Airport. It's not only its pubs that will suffer or disappear, but everything that makes it so magnificent. Whilst in this quaint village, we speak to Ivor (the organist of St Mary's), Alan, and Justine (volunteer's at the nearby Medieval barn) to hear the inside story behind what's taken place. The pubs, homes, and various other features will either disappear or die a slow death from being left without a community. Harmondsworth is a wonderful village with an extensive history dating from Anglo-Saxon England, through the Norman era, and every epoch since. We hear of how damaging and plans were (and have continued to be) and the effect it's had on those who live there. The proposed plans by Heathrow and the potential fate of Harmondsworth and its surrounding areas set a very dark precedent indeed. The plans for this village mean listed buildings that are centuries old would be demolished without a second thought. A millennium of social history could be wiped out. It's important that those who care for the sanctity of Britain and its past watch this video and share it with others. This video will end all doubts as to how much danger Britain's history and beauty face in modern times. Thank you all for your viewership and support. 🤝

This may well go down as the single greatest transfer of public assets by elected democratic governments in world history. Without any serious consultation with their own citizens, Western governments eagerly aligned with the UN and signed onto framework agreements like the 2015 Paris Accord. What began as voluntary international targets rapidly morphed into binding domestic legislation. The resulting legacy is the systematic exclusion of taxpayers from decision-making, while administrations power ahead, committing billions in subsidies to unproven pet projects—such as Australia’s much-hyped green hydrogen initiative. Virtually all heavy industry across the West is now in chronic decline. Manufacturing jobs are being hollowed out, striking directly at power-intensive sectors like electric arc steel, aluminium smelting, and fertiliser production. Once-abundant, cheap, and reliable hydrocarbon energy is being degraded and decommissioned in favour of weather-dependent renewables. Simultaneously, the supply chain for this transition has been handed lock, stock, and barrel to Beijing. China now produces roughly 90% of all photovoltaic components, refined critical minerals, and panel hardware—cementing its position as the greatest manufacturing power in history through an unprecedented transfer of Western wealth. In place of high-density power generation, more than a million wind turbines and an estimated 9 billion solar panels are now scattered across open farmlands, hillsides, and coastal vistas. Because these sources are intermittent and unreliable, integrating them into existing power grids presents a colossal $21 trillion global infrastructure challenge. Prior to this shift, Western industrial policy prioritised dense, dispatchable energy security. Today, governments unilaterally lock in multi-decade decarbonisation commitments that outlast their electoral tenures by decades. Vast tracts of public and agricultural land are greenlit and bulldozed for transmission corridors, access roads, and sprawling industrial turbine arrays—all to serve an intangible belief system that vilifies carbon dioxide, the very driver of essential energy and biological growth. The tangible result? Some of the most expensive household power bills in modern history, the destruction of dispatchable coal and gas capacity, and severe damage to national industrial, economic, and defensive resilience. As one outraged writer noted, Net Zero stands as perhaps the most diabolical act of self-inflicted harm ever visited upon democratic nations by their own leadership. Government by regulatory decree is not government by representation. Mandating a multi-decade economic rewiring without an explicit electoral mandate violates the fundamental social contract between the state and the citizen. Locking in 30-year subsidy contracts strips future generations of their democratic right to adjust policy based on real-world performance. If we weren’t so accustomed to being betrayed, it would be recognised for what it is: a raw, heavy-handed exercise in power at the expense of the people.

Dear Twiterati friends, I deigned to give my husbert rice with his chilli last week when usually it is accompanied by a jacket potato and a sprinkle of fromage. We had run out of large potatoes for said purpose so I substituted with rice. He is not allowing me to forget my misdemeanour, and every day since, when he enquires what’s for supper he also includes the addendum of, “ It’s not rice is it?” Note we have been married for almost 25 years and he’s never been this hesitant about rice before. Indeed, rice with curry is definitely not a problem. In his defence he did say that having rice with my homemade chilli was a waste because my chilli is so good. (Nice husband save there). What can I do to assuage his fears and save my sanity? I was thinking about a scold’s cage or some other such contraption but I fear that may be a step too far. Yours, Jools x

To be English means being descended from the native British hunter-gatherers, the Bronze Age Beaker folk of the British Isles, the Celtic Britons and the Anglo-Saxons. Our native British and Anglo-Saxon blood, ancestry and culture make us who we are. No legislation or paperwork will alter that simple fact.
