And by "the worst people," he means anyone with actual lived experience under collectivist regimes. They must sell the socialist fantasy, because socialist reality is poverty and failure.
Watching all of the worst people freaking out over this line has been such a delight

Replying to @teslacaching
@teslacaching @mytesla_toshi free Cybertruck if you're near Kyoto Station. Also the Supercharger isn't in the list. Same with any other Japanese chargers. Two more cars can hopefully be found around Tokyo soon.

Hodge is my go to when Last Stand needs graphic design work. He’s done some amazing stuff for us over the years and I recommend him highly!
As many of you know, I love designing, but I stepped away from it as a full time gig, other than side work here and there. However, I've had the itch to get back to it, so I created a profile on Upwork. If anyone you know needs a designer, lemme know! upwork.com/freelancers/~01ff…

ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED: Whilst setting up the formation for the @ChatCharge @Tesla Light Show there was an accident which caused damage to the two @Cybertruck involved. Unfortunately insurance won’t cover the repair so I’ll be taking care of the $15k bill myself… I’ve set up a page for any help should anyone want to help a dude out… As I put on these shows for free, it’s a lot to take on but I’ll be doing the right thing for the owners.

At the end of this year I unfortunately will no longer have a job at Last Stand. I may still appear on content sporadically, but I will no longer have a position. So, I need your help! I want to stay working in or adjacent to gaming. It’s what I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve always been a jack of all trades and I can do a little bit of everything. Production of all kinds, anything YouTube or podcast related, public relations, marketing, event planning, hosting, e-commerce, managing people, community engagement, etc. Please keep me apprised if you see or have openings. If you have ever worked alongside me or liked anything I’ve worked on, I’d appreciate a signal boost in the form of a repost or, better yet, a quote detailing my phenomenal qualities, hard work ethic, (and good looks). Thanks

Let's try this again (1/2) ### Telepathy (00:10:25) **Objective**: Elon Musk discusses the goal of enabling high-bandwidth brain-to-brain communication. "Ultimately, Neuralink could enable a form of telepathy," Musk states, highlighting the potential for direct communication without the need for traditional language. ### Neural Dust (00:20:35) **Concept**: The team explains the idea of "neural dust," which consists of tiny, wireless sensors that can record neural activity with high precision. "These sensors are incredibly small, almost like neural 'smart dust,' allowing for detailed interaction with individual neurons," says DJ Seo, a key member of the Neuralink team. ### How Neuralink Works (00:30:15) **Electrodes**: Musk explains, "We use flexible, thread-like electrodes that are much thinner than a human hair. These are implanted into specific brain regions to capture neural signals." This design minimizes tissue damage and improves signal quality. **AI Decoding**: "The neural signals are then decoded by advanced AI algorithms," Musk continues, "translating these signals into actionable data, whether it's for controlling a computer cursor or interacting with a prosthetic limb." ### Neurosurgery (00:40:05) **Precision**: Matthew MacDougall, Neuralink's Chief Surgeon, describes the precision required in the implantation process. "Our robotic systems ensure that the electrodes are placed with sub-millimeter accuracy, avoiding critical brain structures." ### Safety and Upgrades (00:50:45) **Materials**: The team discusses the use of biocompatible materials. "We need to ensure that the materials we use for the implants do not cause any adverse reactions in the brain," says Bliss Chapman, who focuses on material science at Neuralink. **Future Enhancements**: "We are constantly researching ways to improve the durability and functionality of our implants," notes Musk, indicating that future versions will be more robust and capable. ### Digital Telepathy (01:00:25) **Latency**: Addressing latency in signal transmission is critical. "Our goal is to reduce latency to such an extent that it feels instantaneous," Musk explains, "allowing for real-time communication and control." **Applications**: Applications range from medical devices to immersive gaming experiences. "Imagine being able to communicate directly with another person or control a game with your thoughts," Musk adds. ### Webgrid and Neural Decoders (01:10:55) **Webgrid**: "The webgrid is a conceptual framework for organizing and managing the vast amounts of neural data we collect," says DJ Seo. This system helps in the efficient processing and storage of neural signals. **Neural Decoders**: "Our neural decoders translate complex neural signals into data streams that can be used by external devices," Seo elaborates, providing the interface between brain and machine. ### First Human Trials (01:20:35) **Experiences**: Noland Arbaugh, the first human participant, shares his experience. "It's fascinating to control a computer cursor with my mind. The potential applications for this technology are immense," he says. **Applications**: Initial trials focus on restoring motor functions and communication abilities in paralyzed patients. "This technology could significantly improve the quality of life for many individuals," notes Musk.

(2/2) ### Controlling Devices and Robots (01:30:25) **Optimus Robot**: Musk talks about controlling Tesla's humanoid robot, Optimus. "Using Neuralink, we can potentially control Optimus with our minds, extending human capabilities through robotics," he explains. **Demonstrations**: Practical demonstrations include controlling a computer cursor or a robotic limb using neural signals. "These are just the first steps," Musk emphasizes, "but they show what's possible." ### Philosophy and Ethics (01:40:15) **Merging with AI**: Musk discusses the ethical implications of integrating human intelligence with AI. "We need to carefully consider the consequences of merging with AI, but the potential benefits are enormous," he says. **Consciousness**: Exploring the nature of consciousness, Musk states, "Understanding and potentially enhancing consciousness is one of the most profound aspects of Neuralink." ### Future Capabilities (01:50:05) **Enhancements**: Long-term goals include cognitive enhancements and memory augmentation. "Imagine being able to remember everything perfectly or enhance your cognitive abilities," Musk envisions. **Medical Applications**: Targeting a broad range of neurological disorders, Neuralink aims to revolutionize treatment for conditions like Parkinson’s, epilepsy, and depression. "This technology has the potential to change the way we treat neurological diseases," says MacDougall

Day 2 FSD 12.5 drives. About 40 miles and 2 disengagements; one for getting into a long turn lane too late and one for attempting to get into a left turn lane rather than continuing straight through an intersection. Otherwise, stress-free, hands-free driving the rest of the time

Oh, I guess 3 disengagements. I also disengaged for a guard shack gate that it didn't acknowledge.

Great first drive of 12.5! 15 miles in rush hour traffic. 0 interventions for safety or encouragement. I did interrupt the drive to get in the drive-thru. If I had any complaints, it would be that it stays right at the speed limit often and still can't do gates naturally.
